^some players are busy ball hogging in garbage time and hoisting up quick shots. THey dont even earn their possession, heck they have the audacity to keep the ball away from Mbenga.

I love LO as a Laker but this is exactly what he is - inconsistent. No one is bitching now because we won but the moment we lose a big game is when the lynchers will come out.

IMO if he can bring just 15 and 10 we will win on most nights, but sadly LO can't be relied upon to show up nightly. With Drew playing and contributing LO becomes a luxury or gravy, per se. But until then 24 & 16 have to pick up the slack when LO drifts, or we just have to accept results that typically come from a LO no show.

At this point, none of us should be surprised at some of these performances.

His recent comment about playing to the level of competition is a bunch of crap. It says a lot about your lack of focus on the big picture and lack of killer instinct. Go back and meditate and find your groove bro....like, now.

How many freakin' games have our bench players given up 30 points in the fourth quarter? Like, I'm sick of that. Players on the bench should know that it's their job to play defense first. That's how you earn minutes. We could have held them between 80-85 points if we just would have played average defense (25 pts in a quarter).

I know it's a little bit of a rant.. but come on guys!

i wouldn't expect them to come in and shut everyone, they are into the flow and intensity as much by that time, and the game is usually isn't in doubt anyway

and speaking from experience (played in plenty of blowouts) at the end everyone wants to get his, and the defense will take a hit as a result from that

Agree 100% Phil.............I'll go as far to say Josh is giving us more than Ronny did. Speaking of the guys you brought up neither will be game changers or impact the game where "they" have a 2-3 minute surge where the game is changed on their watch.

Deep & Phil. I get where you 2 are coming from but sometimes as a GM you have to keep pieces from going certain places even if you don't need them. Classic case, what McHale did to us in the KG deal & for those who go back far enough when the Lakers still had the Magic man, we got a steal in the 1st round & got David Rivers. He had tremendous up side being under the tutelage of Magic because their game was very similar & Dave had arguably the best handles some have ever seen. The league made us leave 1 person extra unprotected because of the retirement of KAJ. Our team was so stacked the we had to leave Dave unprotected. The Timberwolves took him & flat out told the media the didn't need him (they had drafted Pooh Richardson #1) they just wanted to mess up the Lakers chemistry.
Now I felt like it was straight hating because they had just came in the league & had no chance of winning. Those moves are a little different in the sense of not letting the C's get deeper. That's the advantage we have over them is depth so why let them get deeper without a fight? If we couldn't land Mikki Moore, go after Gooden (which I know we tried) just to have another trump card.

I do agree with your last point. My first couple years of high school, I never got much time and whenever I was in there in the fourth quarter, I wanted to have fun and let loose. Much better playing the first 3 quarters though my last two years.
