I'm kind of surprised that DJ isn't getting more minutes. His mid-range jumper has been on target the past few weeks, and given minutes, he produces. That, and Pau needs to play less minutes so we don't burn him out. He seems rather ineffective when playing with the bench guys anyway.

By my calculations, yes. If the Lakers finish the season 0-17 and the Suns go 17-0, both teams will be at 52 wins. And the Lakers hold the tiebreaker.

SAN ANTONIO -- The Los Angeles Lakers are the West's first team in the playoffs. Kobe Bryant made sure of it.

Bryant scored the last of his 23 points on a 3-pointer with 1:46 left, and the Lakers secured a postseason spot with a 100-95 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

The Spurs have been the West's No. 2 team most of the season, and Los Angeles validated that pecking order. The Lakers also wrapped up the Pacific Division in the final rematch this season of the 2008 Western Conference finals.

Huge way to finish the road trip.

I really like Trevor's addition to the starting line-up. He's been bringing the hustle these last two games like he was previously doing. One thing I've noticed.. he always plays pretty well when him and LO are on the floor together.
