Cant say im surprised. The Sabres were doing poorly. They had no other choice but to fire him.

But it was a surprisingly long run, especially when you look at what he did.

Starting to come to the conclusion that the Canes will be solid by not really contend while they rely on Cam WArd. He was the reason the won the Cup a few years ago, but he has not been sharp at all this season. Tonight they lose to the Jets at home. Canes came back 3x each time the Jets scored on Cam. But when he gave up #4, it was too late in the game to come back. Very bummed.

Talked to one guy who said it was a "panic move and that a 6-10-1 record wasn't even that bad, especially in a small market like Buffalo." I laughed in his face.

It's amazing to think that even with this run the Hawks have put on, Friday may have been the first game they actually had their best skating unit on the ice this year. Carcillo returned, Seabrook and Hossa were back. The only guy missing was Montador, but Roszival has been very good on the third D-pairing.

Ray Emery's been amazing in place of Crawford, who will be back either tonight or tomorrow.

This is pretty astounding.

Blackhawks are just amazing. This is a ride that every Blackhawk fan will remember. Hope it keeps going a bit longer.

My Canes are back in 1st in their Division thanks to a win over the Islanders and a Lightning loss to Pit.
