I feel really bad for Steve Beriner. But congrats to the Kings, I don't think i've ever seen a team dominate like that in the playoffs.

Eklund's already got the Parise to LA rumors going. ;)

Once you stop taking him seriously he can be really entertaining with the stuff he comes up with.

Man I hate Jeff Carter right now. Guy had him as a fantasy captain and came out of nowhere 20 pts down to win. Oh well, still won 500 bucks

The L.A. Kings' first Stanley Cup in franchise history meant a lot to many long-suffering fans that feared they might never see the team raise the Cup before they die.

But there were some that weren't so lucky. Two in particular: Garnet "Ace" Bailey and Mark Lawrence Bavis, L.A. Kings scouts who were aboard United Flight 175, which crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Both men are commemorated at the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero. Their names are written at the South Pool, on Panel S-3. That's a photo of the spot above, with an L.A. Kings Stanley Cup champions hat resting between them.

Kings fan Dave Krasne, who lives in New York City, thought of the two scouts when the Kings won the Cup, and decided it wasn't right that they miss Thursday's Stanley Cup celebrations. He brought a hat to the memorial and laid it between them.

"May Mark Bavis and Ace Bailey finally RIP," he said in a tweet.

We can end the season now. Congrats to the Kings.

Well I think he will have 3-4 really good teams bidding for him I just can't see how The Kings are the clear #1 faves for him like Eklund's been saying.

I still hope The Wings get at least Suiter + a legit scorer.

Just some "food for thought" I was watching The Score Live (Canadian TV channel here) and the 3 hosts said that Crosby isn't worth a 10 year contract. I beg to differ when the guy is one he's the best player in the league yes he has injury problems but I think there will be a lot of teams willing to take that risk. My real question here is do you think your team would offer him a 10 year deal in the neighborhood of Ovie's or Kovalchuk's deal(s)?

^ You better have some clauses to get out of that contract for health reasons if you are Pittsburgh. Crosby is unreal, but he is potentially one hit from done. That's a risky investment for the length/money

What Quick did is no different than what any player does when they get the cup for the first time and scream f-bombs with a camera right in front of them.

Well even if that was true you got to set a example, I am not saying be like Tim Tebow but show some class and be a good role model for the little kids that are watching it.

The little kids who are going to start using the word in 10 years anyways? Let's not be like Helen Lovejoy here.
