Blue Jackets were eliminated well before WEFFPIM's post.

The most they could get was 77 points and 32 ROW. 7 teams already have 78 or more points and Calgary, Los Angeles and Colorado had 76 points. Los Angeles and Calgary play on March 28th, so one of those teams will get to 78 points on that game alone thus eliminating Columbus.

The West race, as always, is going to be a doozy. That potential 4-5 match-up for Detroit is like a nightmare though

Whoever winds up at six will be more than happy staying there, I feel. Regardless of who wins the Pacific.

Definitely some concern for my Red Wings right now. Playing poorly and a boatload of guys hurt. I guess the only concession would be possibly moving to 6th to see the Stars first round instead of the Preds, because I don't see us catching St. Louis

St. Louis is the first team in the playoffs. What a friggin' turnaround. Boston back in the Northeast lead. Phoenix falls from 7 to 10 on a night off

I long believed that LA and SJS were going to jump into 7th and 8th in some order. If SJS finish 8th, I think they can handle St. Louis in the first round.

Nashville takes over 4th place with a win in Anaheim. Detroit and Nashville both have 92 points but Nashville has 38 regulation and overtime wins while Detroit has 37.

The Pacific Division is going to be ridiculous down the stretch. Four teams within a point of each other, with probably two, maybe three of them making the playoffs.

So...Carolina has won three in a row, now five points out of 8th with nine games to go. They literally did the opposite of selling everyone off at the deadline and it may just pay off.

Hey, look! The Rangers didn't collapse this year! They're in to the playoffs!

San Jose loses (to Anaheim...), so LA takes the 9th spot, one point back of pretty much everyone.

The 3rd period and overtime of Coyotes-Stars was some of the best action I've seen all season long. Shame it had to go to a shootout.

Maybe Detroit is purposely letting Chicago catch them so that they can slip to sixth for a better first round match up......

That's what I've secretly been hoping Nashville does. Either that or get home ice. Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles or San Jose would be a much better matchup than Detroit.

I think the Hawks could handle any Pacific Division team minus Phoenix. The Coyotes have given this team fits this season. Curiousity/masochism wants to see Detroit, though. Matchups this year have been insane.

Also every game in the U.S. will be televised whether it's NBC, NBC Sports Network, CNBC or NHL Network. First time every playoff game has been televised which is awesome.
