Which player would you rather have on your team. Both have shown flashes of brilliance. Both have put up good numbers. They'll finish 2nd and 3rd respectively in the calder race. So which young player would you rather have?

It's a tough choice for me, but I'd rather have Sastny. I just love the way he plays and knows the game.

I have to agree with Stastny on a talent level but playing with Sakic will ballon your numbers.

Koptar plays with no real playmaker, at the end of the day my choice is Stastny.

Kopitar is younger and has been the main option on a weak LA team so i'd pick him

Kopitar is more talented and posseses a greater skill set. Stastny will be a great player but he is playing alongside Joey Sakic and is getting a lot of his points spoon fed to him. Kopitar can skate like the wind and has to earn his points with soft hands and slippery moves in the neutral zone. Both will be very good offensive players but I'll go with Kopitar.

Statsny if you break a record that has stood a long time you are obviously great

10 years is it

I meant not a record that is always getting beaten every couple years./

It was a pretty impressive record for a rookie. Most people never reach a point streak like that in their careers and he did it as a rookie.

Kopitar has the potential to be a superstar so I would have to take him for that reason alone. The fact that he was very productive this year on a bad makes it an even easier choice.

Tough choice. Kopitar would flourish on a good team though, so I'd pick him in that regard.
