Lombo is plain and simple the fastest skater in the NHL. He flies past anyone. Who ya got him vs anyone.

Kind of a sleeper here but Mathieu Dandenault was always the fastest when in Detroit. I still bet the kid can fly

David Booth (Florida Panthers) is the fastest skater in the league.

Well I will have to watch Booth skate I guess dont see much of Florida.

But I think Lombardi is faster than Gaborik or at least shows it more, Lombardi scores amazing goals short handedly on pure speed. The guy can fly.

Anyone else?

A "fastest player" thread can't be had without a mention of Ilya Kovalchuk

I would have to give my respect to Pavel Datsyuk, Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane both on Chicago.

I would say the fastest player is Andy McDonald he proved it last year and is deadly one on one.
