Pistons send:
CV
2010 2nd
recieve:
Brandon Bass
Ryan Anderson
Why for Pistons? Saves some money, gives them a true 4, which they need with a soft and undersized frontline. Anderson gives them firepower off the bench without the potential upside of CV, but without the headaches also.
Magic send:
Brandon Bass
Ryan Anderson
recieve:
CV
2010 2nd
Why for Magic? With Dwight at center, Magic can maximize the value of CV and with SVG are more likely to get the most out of the most talented player in the group. They also consolidate their bench for a more talented piece. The 2nd gets them a pick in the 30s in a deep draft (in other words a real asset not a throw away 2nd)

Re: ORL/DET
That's pretty bad for Orlando. Anderson and Villanueva are pretty much the exact same player and Bass is worth more than a 2nd.

Re: ORL/DET
I wouldn't call a Maxiell/Jerebko/Ben Wallace a soft "frontline" dude and a 6'8" PF won't solve anything. I want CV gone fast but this deal doesn't help Detroit. CV would be good next to Dwight i guess.

Re: ORL/DET
Easy no for the Magic.
Just like the 17 Baron Davis to Orlando trades from the last few days, people need to understand that the fact that a player might be able to "maximize their value/play motivated" next to Dwight doesn't change what their current trade value is.

Re: ORL/DET
I'm a Pistons fan and would love to move CV, but I don't think Orlando falls for this.
