OKC/LAC

Post#1 » by eagleye » Wed Apr 21, 2010 12:18 pm

OKC Receive: Chris Kaman, Steve Blake
OKC GIve: Jeff Green, OKC 2010 1st round pick, PHI 1st round pick, Erick Maynor, DJ White, OKC 2012 first round pick

Clippers get: Jeff Green, OKC 2010 1st round pick, PHI 1st round pick, Erick Maynor, DJ White, OKC 2012 first round pick
Clippers give: Chris Kaman, Steve Blake

Clippers draft Cole Aldrich, Larry Sanders (OKC pick), Willie Warren (Phnx pick),

why for clippers: They want to go young so they decide to trade Kamans contract and draft Cole Aldrich, and then trade for a starting small forward who is young, and is very versatile, and will grow with Griffin, Gordon, and Aldrich, also get three first round picks, and a good young backup point guard to take over in the future

why for Thunder: They need a starting Center to compete and contend for a title, and get an expererienced backup point guard,

Thunder sign: Jerry Stackhouse, and trade for Theo Ratliff

Thunder:
Kaman/ Kristic/Ratliff/Mullens
Ibaka/Collison
Durant/Sefolosha/Stackhouse
Harden/Sefolosha/Stackhouse
Westbrook/Steve Blake/ Harden

That is a deep Thunder team

I dont like it for OKC. Green is really good and gets horrendously undervalued around here.

This seems like way too much for Kaman. Blake is a UFA, so if OK want him, they can sign him.

Something built around Green for Kaman might be sensible, and maybe OK would need to add filler, I'm not sure, but certainly nothing like this...

A package centered around Green for Kaman makes some sense but OKC shouldn't have to throw in 3 first rounders swap Maynor for Blake AND have to part with DJ White...

I like Kaman, but did I miss when he became Dwight Howard? Green, 3 first rounders, Eric Maynor and DJ White? Yikes.

Ya this a steep package for Kaman... too much... but either way I dont think the Clips wanna trade Kaman for Green... A really good C is hard to fine and Kaman is becoming one of the better C's in the league

I think Kaman's a little underrated here too. I agree the deal above is steep but he is coming off an All Star year. He's got more value then Jeff Green.

Not even the Clips would give up Kaman if they still have Baron Davis. They're all about competing now (or trying to). And ya, that's way way too much.

I think the Clips can afford to deal Kaman because Blake should be able to replace his offensive production and DJ can do a good job defensively. We need a good swingman/6th man at this point. A package built around Green/Maynor for Kaman would be good. To be honest I would love to get Sefolosha but I don't think Thunder will deal him.

I wouldn't trade Kaman for that package.
Like djthesonicsfan said Clippers want to compete now.
If Kaman is to be dealt, I would expect a 20ppg SF to come back in return.

Jeff Green scores 15ppg
