Nene for Perkins + Sheed

Post#1 » by eathy » Wed May 5, 2010 3:31 pm

Perkins gives the Nuggets post defense and rebounding. Sheed has sucked this season but has a 3pt shot which always helps.

Nene gives the Celtics some efficient offense.

I love Perk, but I would consider this trade.

I sorta like it for the Nuggets, but that would leave us with a Perkins/KMart frontcourt. D:

I think I'll pass on this.

Boston should be all over this and would actually probably do it.

Remember, Boston was interested in Nene and almost dealt Pierce for he and Dre Miller about a half decade or so ago.

I've proposed this before too, so I like it.

Although, Nene is good on both ends of the floor. Not just offense, and I think the Celtics should add a little more value. Not sure in what form though.

Has the panic alarm been sounded in Nugget Land?
It seems like some of you Denver guys are on a mission to downgrade your team in sake of shaking things up. :)

Nope, if we can swing a KMart + JR for Bosh deal, then a Perkins/Bosh frontcourt wouldn't be messed with, and would be a better duo than Nene/Bosh.

I actually feel a Perk/Sheed/19th pick FOR Nene deal is fair on both sides.

As a Celts fan you still have to do such a deal.

As the big 3 have wore down Rondo has taken more of an initiative to score and be effective on the offensive end. For the next 2 years the Big 3 should detoriate a bit offensivley at the very least. Adding Nene gives Boston another offensive threat and a great one in the low post.

Defensivley, C's get a bit worse from Perk to Nene, but I feel as long as KG's intensity is still there, defensivley Boston will still be a stalwart.

Toronto would be better off letting Bosh walk.

I'd also try and pry the Celtics pick if I'm the Nuggets. Then deal K-Mart, JR Smith and Lawson for Bosh and Jarrett Jack.

Perkins/Birdman/Petro??
Bosh/#19
Melo/Balkman
Afflalo/MLE - Morrow/R.Brewer
Billups/Jack

You forgot Wallace, and I really don't like that. I'd rather keep Lawson and pair him with Jack, and look to move Billups (to send more value to the Raptors?). I just really soured on him the way he ended the season and tried to take over coaching on AD. AD may have sucked, but having a player trying to run the show while someone else is too, just messed up Denver even more.

Hmm I did forget Sheed, however if the price for Bosh is Lawson, I highly doubt he's a deal-breaker. If Billups is included I see a 3rd team being necessary to facilitate the deal, however I don't see there being a huge list of interested teams...

There should be some interested, but yeah, it isn't a huge list. Need to find a team that thinks it can contend and Billups would upgrade them at PG. Lakers is one, but they don't have much value to give back.

No they wouldn't and i forgot to include one of Hedo/Calderon's contract which would make it much more attractive to them.

If Melo were to leave and we could either lose him for nothing or for Turiaf and Morrow; I'd take Turiaf and Morrow.

What do Turiaf and Morrow have to do with Kmart and JR Smith?
