Re: mia/tor/mem sign and trade
I think Toronto would prefer more 'now' talent. Keep our pick and give us your 1st round selection this year, or return our pick and give us both of your 2nd round picks instead of the Memphis future 2nd.

The 2010 draft is before free agency so you'd pick up the player from the draft, not the pick.
This is not a bad deal for Toronto. At least it's some young players and no bad contracts.

How about you cut Memphis from the deal.
Bosh for Beasley, Toronto's 1st pick back, Miami's 2011 1st, TPE.
There.

That's a pretty trivial addition from Toronto's perspective. Throw him in and reduce the TPE. Deal.

We really don't need Beasley with Bargs on the roster (who we would want to move to the 4). Thus swapping Beasley for Thabeet makes perfect sense.
Also, when I said Miami's 'first round selection' I meant the rights to the unsigned draftee that Miami selects. I'm aware that this deal happens after the draft.

Tor has no leverage is Bosh wants to go to Miami, then he goes to Miami. Its either Beasley or nothing.bboyskinnylegs wrote:baulderdash77 wrote:How about you cut Memphis from the deal.
