Hornets deal: CP3, Okafor, Posey
Magic deal: Jameer Nelson, Gortat, Pietrus, Bass, Barnes, Anderson, #29 overall, Rights to Fran Vazquez, Future 1st round pick, 3 million cash

Why for the Hornets - They shed millions of dollars in guaranteed money while getting pieces to help them compete in the near future and re-build their franchise.

Why for the Magic. To pair Paul and Howard together and create an all-star roster. They gut their roster to do it though. And will use vet and rookie minimum deals to fill out there roster.

Barnes is a FA, he would have to sign a contract first. Rights to Vazquez wont get you anything, he is never coming to the NBA. And I would have Okafor at PF, not Howard.

That's a lot to give up for Paul, but man I think you gotta do it. Can you imagine how many lobs a Dwight & Paul combo would have?!!!!

this is very good for the hornets, not sure you give up half the team though, pull bass and you cant trade for barnes as he is a FA and I am in

Hornets can do a LOT better for CP3 then Meer and a bunch of well-compensated role players.
