* Note: This is as of 11/28/12. With Skiles this can change on a hourly or nightly basis due to his fickle nature.

That is a deep team...I mean look at it! Not just names on a paper but functional players and some Interchangeable parts. Versatilite. Adaptive. If they keep improving on a nightly basis like we saw against the Bulls...we got a team then. One smart piece away...

Can be very good defensively and explosive offensively. Hard team to beat and a team you don't want to play in a short series.

If they had a coach who knew his players and became more of a players coach and set a rotation and just LEFT IT THERE and knew how to communicate with them you might actually win some games in a row.

I know 2-3 coaches who are unemployed that can stretch this team into the 2nd round if everything goes right in the health department. But not Skiles. We'll see. He jerks players around too much.

If Ilyasova wakes up and Mbah a Moute performs and Harris can still get some quality minutes my goodness...This team could surprise with all the injuries in the East because they have some guys who can play.

Westbrook/ Maynor/ Jackson
Sefolosha/Martin/ Lamb
Durant/ Jones/ Liggins
Ibaka/ Collison/
Perkins/ Thabeet/Orton

Immediate Pick: Tor's 1st, Dallas 1st, OKC 1st, Cha 2nd

9 man rotation, Liggins could develop into a bench hustle player when we need someone to bring some energy on defence i.e. 11th or 12th guy. Orton will never be more than 3rd big quality as he doesnt seem able to stay out of foul trouble in Tulsa

Area of possible upgrade: Starting C, Backup PG , lack of backup SF in that order. You may use PJ3/Lamb/Maynor/Jackson as values if you want to make a trade.

Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka/Thabo/Martin are probably untradable. Collison depends on what we get in return. Thabeet has more value to us than anyone else.

Rockets, updated:

Asik G.Smith Aldrich
Morris Patterson Motiejunas T.Jones White
Parsons Delfino
Harden J.Anderson
Lin Douglas Machado

Rockets might waive or trade Machado soon to make room for Patrick Beverley, who's expected to been signed some time in the near future.

I heard earlier that the team is waiting on Beverly's FIBA clearance to sign the deal.

Brooks seems to be getting more PT under PJC and back to being part of the 2nd unit again and even Teletovic is getting more PT than just garbage time.

If it were up to me the rotation would be:

D.Williams / Brooks*
Johnson / Watson*
Wallace / Bogans
Evans / Teletovic
Lopez / Blatche

Taylor tries too hard and not ready for meaningful minutes.
Stackhouse has been inconsistent after his hot start and battling injuries. Hopefully he is waived and sticks around as an assistant coach, but we could use the roster spot for a SF or back up big.
Shengelia is another player that tries to do too much and isn't ready for real minutes. Love the potential though.
Humphries just doesn't seem to fit on the team or have a role. Evans the better rebounder and defender, Teletovic the better offensive player. Fine with me as he is simply trade bait.

*Brooks is a better PG than Watson (or Taylor) and Watson more of a SG in a PG's body.

agree with most of what you said but i like stackhouse at 5-6 mpg with DNP's mixed in, just to keep bogans fresh. in short spurts and in 55-60 games stack can be effective.

Brooks at PG is a horrible, horrible proposition. He is a complete ball stopper, refuses to pass to wide open teammates. forces us to shoot late in the clock, and his wild shots, when missed, lead to long rebounds and opportunities the other way. He shouldnt play much at all, let alone at poing gaurd -- espcially considering he has one fo teh lowest BBIQ's of any gaurd in the game.

Teletovic should defenitly play more. I wouldnt start him, but id like to see him get 15+ minutes. I also like hump getting 15 mpg. i think the best bet is just to go by matchup and if our offense is stagnant bring in mirza and give him extended minutes like we did last night.

We really need a backup wing. Bogans cant play backup at both the 2 and 3, and JJ goign 40 minutes isnt a good thing longer term.

This is incorrect.

Monroe / Drummond (out for 6 weeks) / Kravtsov
Maxiell / Villanueva / Jerebko
Singler / Stuckey / Maggette / Middleton
Knight / English
Calderon / Bynum

This team can run and now has the size and rebounding it needed. Now it is a question of scoring, but with Ty Lawson's ability to penetrate and the ability to shoot the rock, they're in a good place :clap:Image

Good question for the Rockets.

I think that unless Motiejunas or Thomas Robinson really step up you'll see this for Houston:

PG: Lin / Beverly
SG: Harden / Garcia
SF: Parsons / Anderson
PF: Delfino / Motiejunas / Robinson
C: Asik / Smith

With Jones, White & Honeycutt back & forth between the D-League.

Small ball unless one of the rookies steps up.

I will vomit if a see Delfino playing as a PF for Houston when they have Motiejunas and T-Rob.

At least play Parsons, who has good size to play both forwards positions, at the 4.

It's time to unleash Motiejunas tbh. You guys can't let the Lakers get the 8th seed. I want to see the 100m failure by the end of the regular season.

Yeah, Delfino and Parsons are pretty interchangeable. I thought about pointing out that technically Parsons should be listed at PF, but for whatever reason McHale usually has Delfino guarding opposing PFs, not Parsons.

I doubt we'll see Robinson at all in the next 2-3 games. Maybe after that, however I very well could see McHale not play him for the next for 5 games or so.
We probably will see Garcia, though.

Motiejunas will get time and might end up starting sooner or later, but I think there's just as good a chance that McHale keeps going with the small unit. The chances of Robinson starting anytime soon are very slim IMO.

Spurs remains intact

PG: Tony Parker / Gary Neal / Patty Mills / Cory Joseph
SG: Danny Green / Manu Ginobili / Nando de Colo
SF: Kawhi Leonard / Stephen Jackson
PF: Tiago Splitter / Boris Diaw / Matt Bonner
C: Tim Duncan/ Dejuan Blair / Aron Baynes

Bolded names are the guys that will get most of the PT in the playoffs. Basically a 9-man rotation. The other players will only see PT in garbage time or if any of the rotational guys gets hurt.

Portland (not many changes):

Lillard - Maynor - Smith
Matthews - Barton - (Elliot Williams - injury)
Batum - Claver - Pavlovic
Aldridge - Babbitt - Jefferies
Hickson - Leonard - Freeland

According to McHale Motiejunas is going to start and the new guys will get some PT against the Bucks, which I guess would mean Garcia getting PT over James Anderson, though that might chance from game to game.

Asik G.Smith Ohlbrecht
Motiejunas T.Robinson T.Jones
Parsons Delfino
Harden Garcia J.Anderson
Lin Beverley
