Jose Calderon??
Raymond Felton??

Help me out!!

Lowry to Toronto for Gary Forbes and protected first, (rumored protection listed on page 2)

How do Rocket fans feel about all this? All we heard about near the end of the season is how Lowry was worth a Top 3 pick and that they were going to trade him on draft night, then easily resign Dragic.

Now Dragic is gone and they've traded Lowry for a 1st round pick of some sort. If I were a Houston fan, I'd be PISSED.

It makes absolutely ZERO sense why the Rockets would trade Lowry AFTER they lost Dragic.

Why be pissed?

Houston looks to be finally rebuilding.

I suppose that's one way to look at it. The Rockets are finally going to stop dicking around with this .500 10-8 seed every year crap, so that is a good silver lining.

PG - Royce White
SG - Patrick Patterson
SF - Marcus Morris
PF - Donatas Motiejunas
C - Luis Scola

Now we just have to get rid of Parsons, Lamb & Martin...lousy non-power forwards!

Yep. Something like a 4 yr/$40 million has been reported.

Otherwise, they can match the offer for Dragic and keep him.

Dragic was unrestricted.

He's gone.

The opinion here is that Lin is just media hype - no way he comes here. Based on the timing of trading Lowry, I agree. Logic - If you were sure you were getting Lin then you would go ahead with the trade - but they cannot be sure of waht NY will match. If they were not sure what would happen, they would wait to trade Lowry since they might need him. If they knew they were not going to get Lin, but wanted to dump Lowry with as little fan complaint as possible, they do it now - - which is what I think happened.

They also need to trade Scola and KMart.
Scola has three years left - try to get an expiring and call it a day.
He is worth at least that - maybe a highly protected pick also.
KMart - he is expiring - but he too darn good sometimes. He can shoot you into games you should have lost (Rox need to do full tank now). So, deal him for an expiring someone else has that is worse. Elton Brand for both?

Frankly, I'd rather keep both of them around, and let Lee walk. Martin can tutor Lamb and then leave next year, while Scola can continue to be a bmf. If the young PFs want to show they're good, they can start by outplaying him.
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?

Ramon Sessions would be a good stopgap starting PG for Houston.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Wow. Didn't realize he was unrestricted. I just assumed that he was restricted based on the casualty that Houston fans mentioned "We'll just resign Dragic and trade Lowry...".

Crazy.
