KOTB Entry: MIN-WAS-PHO

If you believe all teams would accept this trade, vote yes. If you believe otherwise, vote no. Please explain your vote.
Done when Rubio returns or before if Shved can start at PG in the meantime.

Minnesota receive: Dudley, Booker, Garrett, WAS 2nd Rd Pick
Minnesota trade: Ridnour, Lee

Gets them a solid starting SG in Dudley. Booker gives them frontcourt insurance in case Love or Pek go down again. Losing Ridnour hurts but they get what looks to be the first pick of the 2nd round.

Pekovic/Stiemsma/Amundson
Love/Williams/Booker
Kirilenko/Cunningham/Howard/Budinger
Dudley/Shved/Roy
Rubio/Barea/Garrett

Washington receive: Ridnour
Washington trade: Booker, Webster, 2nd Rd Pick

Wizards work some magic and get them a solid PG in Ridnour. They already had a solid frontcourt and it seems like Booker was the odd man out.

Okafor/Seraphin
Nene/Vesely/Barron
Ariza/Singleton/Martin
Crawford/Beal
Ridnour/Price/Livingston/Wall

Phoenix receive: Webster, Lee
Phoenix trade: Dudley, Garrett

After this trade they follow it with a Gortat trade and fully move on from the Nash era. Dudley isn't playing well and he's got a long contract. Webster is starting quality, slightly better at defending and an expiring. Lee can grow into a pretty good rotational playing.

Gortat/O'Neal/Zeller
Scola/Morris/Frye
Beasley/Johnson
Webster/Brown/Lee
Dragic/Telfair/Marshall

Easy no from the Suns. Since when is Webster starting quality and a better defender than Dudley? Way to good for T-Wolves.

Ya, this is too good for MIN. No point for the other teams, really.

KOTB: No.

I think stopgap starter is the term I was looking for. Obviously Dudley is better than Webster, but this trade is for the purpose of saving money and, along with a Gortat trade, moving on from an era. Are the Suns really gonna miss Dudley's 8ppg if they replace it with Webster's 7ppg on a team as high scoring as they are especially if it saves them some money? I certainly don't think so.
Don't be blinded by Dudley's play alongside Nash. Gortat's recent comments point to the fact that Dragic, as good as he is, is a scoring PG. Neither of them fit as well as they do with Dragic as they did with Nash.

Dudley had a bad season start in a team that lost 3 starters from last year. That still doesn't justify trading him for nothing.

BTW, Dudley is not a SG, never was, never will be.
