With December 15th here, seems now is as good a time as any for our annual list of players with the most trade value. After this is done we will move on to the annual list of players with the most negative trade value.
Please vote for the player that you think currently has the most trade value and please list a nominee that should be added the voting list. Remember this is trade value, so factors such as salary/contract, age, potential, production, injuries, etc. should all be factored in to your vote.
The current nominees:
Kobe Bryant
Marc Gasol
Dwight Howard
Dwayne Wade
Rajon Rondo
Kevin Love
Deron Williams
Andre Drummond
Ricky Rubio
Damian Lillard

Im sticking with Marc Gasol. There are plenty of more talented guys left on the board but they all have their issues, be it age, injury history, attitude, contract etc...
Nom: Again Im sticking with Monroe. Someone mentioned MKG in the last thread and I absolutely love the guy. And would definitely put him over almost all the players nominated in the last thread. But Monroe is looking like a guy who you could build around and he has size.

Det tried/tries. Didn't go too well even though there's a team full of vets surrounding him.
He's a nonfactor defensively. Or more aptly, a liability.

Vote Kobe
Nominate Derrick Favors
Kobe still gives teams a huge chance at the title. He doesn't have as much value for the rebuilding teams, but young players don't have nearly as much value to the win now teams as a guy like Kobe does either. Plus he makes you an insane amount of money
Favors is 21 and plays the most valued role trade value wise, a C with outstanding defensive potential. Averaging like 15/10/2.5 per 36 minutes. He has huge value

V: Kobe. Already described why earlier, but he's one of the best and most marketable players, and his salary, while absurd, isn't for that long.
N: Bosh.
N: Bosh.
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?

Re: RGM's Top 25 Most Valuable Players - Vote for #12
I had it down to Love versus Rondo, and went Love for the ability to be a franchise face last time. LMA was much too early, I wouldn't have had him until #16. But Kobe really does have the star power in spades more and is playing incredible.
If it were offered, who would be offended more: Love/Barea/Roy for Kobe?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=a9zyqc7
Sorry Love, I guess its time for me to start voting for Kobe and not effecting the voting for another 5 rounds.
V: Kobe
N: Curry
I don't think Bosh gets a better offer then Curry.

V Love
Love is statistically one of the 3-5 best players in the league, and except for when he came back this season, he keeps improving. I understand that trade value is a function of when the snapshot is taken, but I don't want to look back on this and think "Why didn't Love even make the Top Twelve?"
N Rubio
Rubio has shown for years that he has the cojones to take on the best in the world, including Paul and Rose in the Olympics when he was .. what .. 16? He's already an international marketing god, with a shoe deal, McDonald's contract for several years, etc etc. He also makes the incredible plays that gets you on ESPN. Finally, if he could make the low-talent Wolves of last year a 500 team, I have no doubt he could be instrumental to success with better NBA players.

Not exactly what I would call quality vets tho. Prince is a decent player but Villanueva, Stuckey, Gordon/MAgette? Pretty terrible and chewing up tons of cap room. Hard to say you cant build around him yet based on the last 2 years. Ill concede he may not should be up here yet but guys with his size/skill/age/contract always have tons of trade value.

also I dont think Kobe can possibly make this list because his contract is so big that teams would have to send back so many players to LAL that Kobe would veto going to the gutted team. I think he likely vetoes any deal thus making his current trade value nil. His salary/NTC make dealing him nearly impossible to deal.
