76ers package of Evan Turner and Thad Young nets us?

Postby SparksFly87 on Thu Jan 17, 2013 11:45 pm

What can Turner and Thad net in a trade package? Fillers are everybody except Bynum and Holiday.

Klay Thompson and Richard Jefferson for Evan Turner and Nick Young?
or
Klay Thompson and Andres Biedrens for Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes?

GS needs a better ball handler to pair with Curry and Phily needs a better scorer to pair with Holiday.

Yeah, I'd think about that. I think Turner's skill set is a great fit in Indy. Young's contract isn't attractive, but he's a solid player.

It's weird, I'd come closer to taking one of the offered GSW packages over the Granger one.

I think Klay could be a pretty decent fit next to Jrue. I'd be more inclined to take the 2nd of the deals, as I can't stand the sight of Richard Jefferson.

TBH I think that package should land you a pretty good PF or wing to pair with Jrue.
Turner could be a very good secondary ballhandler for another young team, and next to the right C Thad could be a stud IMO.

Yeah like a big @$$ guy who is a dominate post scorer, and scary looking to anyone who comes through the lane. No way Philly moves Thad as long as they have a prayer Bynum plays again

Thad and Turner should get us a really good player. Thad has been great this year. I like the Klay deal a lot though. But an expiring Jefferson and mid round pick is not getting you either Thad or Turner, let alone both.

How about this:

GS gets Turner, Gay
gives Jefferson, Biedrins, Barnes, Thompson

Rounds out their starting 5 and upgrades their ball handling and scoring.

MEM gets Afflalo, Wright
gives Gay

Gets two useful wing shooters for better floor spacing and gets under the tax.

ORL gets TYoung, Biedrins
gives Afflalo, Harrington

ORL acquires more size in the front court.

PHI gets Jefferson, Harrington, Barnes, Thompson
gives Turner, Wright, TYoung

Acquires youth to go with Jrue and rebuilds.

Rudy Gay and Evan Turner with Curry Lee and Bogut gives GS one of the best most balanced starting fives in the league. But I can understand not wanting to take his contract.

Please take Thad out of this. He is pretty much officially untradeable unless we're getting a great player back.

I have an interesting trade here. I think it could balance both rosters a lot.

Turner & Nick Young
for
T Robinson & Thornton

The kings get their starting SF in Turner and probably waive Nick Young to give the back up SG spot to Jimmer. Also relieves the log jam at PF for the kings. Financially the kings save with Young's expiring.

For the 76er's this gives them a starting Shooting Guard in Thornton who is a very good scorer and would be a nice fit next to Holiday. You keep Thad who can now start at SF and continue his defensive play from that position. 76ers also get a very good PF prospect that could easily be their starter. He has tons of potential just no opportunity with the kings.

New lineups

Kings Roster
Brooks/IT
Evans/Jimmer
Turner/Salmons
Thompson/Johnson
Cousins/Hayes

76er's Roster
Holiday/Ivey
Thornton/Wilkins
Young/Wright
Robinson/Allen
Hawes/Bynum
