LAL/BKN/MEM/HOU

Lakers
in: Lopez, Gay, Delfino, Aldrich
out: Dwight, Pau

Brooklyn
in: Dwight
out: Lopez, Teletovic, Brooks

Memphis
in: Pau, Teletovic, Brooks, Patterson, Douglas
out: ZBo, Gay

Houston
in: ZBo
out: Delfino, Aldrich, Patterson, Douglas

Why?

Lakers - get value for Dwight before he either leaves, or leaves them with an ultimatum of him or Kobe. they get a decent C who can score well, and who's a better fit for their offense. they get an elite wing to groom behind Kobe.

Brooklyn - Dwight and Brooklyn get what they've wanted all along.

Memphis - get out of ZBo and Gay's contracts. they get to reunite Pau and Marc, meaning they will still have the ability to make the playoffs. they get quality young pieces in Teletovic, Brooks and Patterson.

Houston - they get a dominant big man to partner with Harden. a ZBo/Harden tandem will go deep into the playoffs. and it doesn't cost them much in terms of youth and assets.

I doubt Houston wants Randolph at all and certainly not for Parsons. He's too old for our core and I''d rather have the cap space this summer to go after someone like Milsap or Josh Smith who would fit our system better.

it's not as simple as a direct swap of Gay for Pau. It's Teletovic + Brooks + Pau for Gay.

and I'm not a Lakers fan, so I don't have a problem with the Lakers losing. but thanks for contributing.

Is there any way Memphis can add Marc Gasol for a conditional second round pick to make this even better?
