Valid point.

I doubt the team will renounce Allen, and will look to re-sign him. It appears he'll be playing on our summer league team in hopes to stick around.

There is a chance they waive Scola to clear the $2.3m non-guaranteed and look to re-sign Lavoy Allen and add a guy like Ivan Johnson (whom they've liked for awhile, and is returning to the NBA with reported interest in the Pacers, among others), for that $2.3m difference. All that would have Indy run a front court of West and Hibbert starting, with Copeland backing up the PF spot, Ian backing up the C spot, and Allen and Ivan bouncing between the two for matchups. Would essentially save us a $505k cap hold while filling the back end of the roster out.

Otherwise, it's a good understanding. And yeah, I doubt we'll bring Turner back in any situation. On draft night, Bird cited Lance and Lavoy as free agents we need to bring back, while neglecting to mention Evan Turner in any way.

FWIW, Whittington's deal is reported as unguaranteed. However, as he was injured when we signed him, and reported out until 2015, it seems likely that we'd keep him until he's healthy enough to be evaluated.

You can probably list the MLE as being spent already too (split between Miles and Rudez).

I agree with both of your points. I'm just considering everything as guaranteed until I know for sure. And same with Exceptions. Until I know it was for sure used, I'm leaving it alone. I expect we'll get those answers within the next few days to a week.

Pacers now have Paul George and George Hill.

They have George Hill and Solomon Hill.

They have CJ Miles and CJ Watson.

They should have kept Miles Plumlee, then they would have had the most name-connected team in NBA history.

It's confirmed. There's no other way we could've signed them. We're also hard capped since we've used the BAE and MLE.
