If they did want him badly, they would do the trade since Phoenix is believed league-wide to match anything. And why wouldn't they? They have cap space to take the risk. It also beats the hell out of simply letting him walk.

As far as the trade, for Phoenix it comes down to if they believe Bledsoe is the star his numbers suggest. And if they trust the best training staff in the league to keep him healthy. If they do, I doubt they take the bait
