Post#1 » by ecuhus1981 » Thu Aug 28, 2014 3:37 am

***Bogans' unguaranteed contract moves from BOS to IND before being waived***

Trade ID# 6507397

BOS trades Wallace/Green/Zeller/Young/16BRK1st/18BRK1st for George/Garnett/Anderson

Rondo, Bradley, Turner, Garnett, Sullinger
Smart, Thornton, Anderson, Bass, Olynyk

BRK trades Garnett/Anderson for Wallace/Mahinmi/16BRK1st/18BRK1st
Nets regain their picks and groom Mason at PF by adding C depth.
Williams, Johnson, Bogdanovic, Plumlee, Lopez
Jack, Karasev, Kirilenko, Teletovic, Mahinmi

IND trades George/Mahinmi for Green/Zeller/Young
Pacers increase their win-now chances, draw down payroll and add quality youth.
Hill, Miles, Green, West, Hibbert
Watson, Young, Hill, Scola, Zeller
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

The celtics GM wins "GM of the year" on this one. But in all seriousness, this is so painfully bad for the pacers it's not even funny.

Yes, If celtics do this, celtics GM wins ""GM of the year", yes but "the most stupid and incompetent GM of the year".
This trade is:
Two very good rounds (BKN) + mid round in this year (young) for dump wallace and eat another overpaid contract in guard position.
With this trade the celtics go back yes, go back to 90 decade.

Haha, I actually thought the same thing at first. But the "injured superstar" bit made it clear who the OP meant.

If Danny Ainge has pictures on Larry Bird like the original trade suggests, they would alter it to cut out Brooklyn. A different third team would be involved to create the space without all those picks going out or the Celtics would add a fourth player and only trade for George.

The Nets are only in this to reverse the trade where they mortgaged the future which is something Ainge would not be interested in
I find your lack of faith disturbing.

So... Indy trades Paul George to Boston (and Mahinmi) and gets... Green, Tyler Zeller, & some rookie?

No Marcus Smart?

No picks?

No deal.

Yeah, it makes sense if it's George Hill as that's pretty similar value (maybe take out Young). But Paul George? C'mon son.

I'd prefer to hold on to alan anderson... if we could add in someone else id prefer that but either way i make this trade in a second. we rid ourselves of the corpse of KG and get back the 2 picks we traded.

basically we gave up picks for a 1 year rental of KG, then get the picks back while not hurting our 2016 cap. on top of that, we get a solid rotation big in mahinmi.

no way brooklyn gets that lucky

Walalce's contract isnt awful for us. he expires prior to 2016. we are over the cap with or without wallace in 15-16, so that doesnt effect us.

this would be a monumental steal for the nets.

Complete robbery for BOS and BKN, and IND gets screwed over. Why would Indiana even listen to anything on Paul George?

This is an easy NO from Indiana. If they were to trade PG they would need much more even with him out 12 months, Green Zeller and Young is not enough. Maybe if you cut out Brooklyn and gave the Pacers the 2 #1's from the Nets I'd consider it.

It's bad indeed...beyond repair. Picks some years off ain't a BIG chip. Teams that reach the top..don't freak out off a star getting hurt for a year. The PANIC BUTTON..is for the chronic losers who have little to lose.
CENSORED... No comment.
