I could see the Celtics and Knicks building a Rondo trade around Calderon if a third team was involved to get Calderon. Celtics would be still looking for additional assets but salary relief could help bridge the gap for value.
If the Celtics were to shed Gerald Wallace in the process, they would potentially have less than $15 Million in salaries comitted for next summmer. Pair that with a good draft pick for this year, and the rebuild could end very quickly.
