KG back to Minny

Post#1 » by Fisherman4JC » Wed Oct 22, 2014 2:09 am

http://basketball.realgm.com/tradecheck ... de/6515322

chi out: T.Gibson, Dunleavy
chi in: C.Budinger, C.Brewer

min out: C.Budinger, C.Brewer
min in: K.Garnett

bkn out: K.Garnett
bkn in: T.Gibson, Dunleavy

chicago gets what they need, people who can create their own shots

'sota gets K.Garnett for sentimental value, as well as filling their pf need, and he's an expiring if nothing else

brooklyn gets their hometown guy T.Gibson, who's basically a star, and extra depth in Dunleavy, who's an expiring

Might be fun for KG if the Wolves were close to the playoffs, but they aren't. He wouldn't waive his NTC for this. And that's an awful deal for Chi.

Way too good for Brooklyn. Chicago can get more value for Taj than this.

Just make it something like Barea, Shabazz, and Turiaf for Garnett.

well, here's the thing, i want T.Gibson to go to brooklyn, because it's his home town, and he'd be able to start there, he comes off the bench in chicago, AND, chicago already has their prospect pf in Mirotic - WHILE - c.brewer, and budinger fill the exact needs that chicago has, players who can create shots for themselves

EDIT - AND - minny needs to clear their sf position to get wiggins, thad.young, s.mohammed more pt

Well, Brooklyn doesn't really have anything to trade so good luck with that.

Why wouldn't Minnesota just cut out Brooklyn and keep Gibson and Dunleavy?

I'm not sure what you're not understanding. Kevin Garnett will not net you Taj Gibson. Deron Williams will not net you Taj Gibson. I understand that you want Taj Gibson on Brooklyn. What is Brooklyn able to trade that might entice Chicago to part with Gibson?

Let me try to demonstrate the problem using my Sixers. I want Kevin Durant on the Sixers. The Sixers have something to trade, Brandon Davies - to OKC. Why are we not on the phone with the commissioner yet?

Because the OP wants Gibson on Brooklyn. What don't you understand?

Well, if brooklyn is willing to give more to chi then so be it, but chi can't take this deal for granted, KG is netting them 2 players who supply what they need

In what universe does C.Budinger, C.Brewer create their own shot?
Follow the science not some internet physician & get your shots.

I don't think Budinger or Brewer gives what CHI wants. One of them would be nice next to Dunleavy and the other isn't worth enough to give up Gibson. Also Budinger's next season PO wouldn't work CHI. Easy pass for them.

Good for other two but Garnett wouldn't waive NTC.

How much production do you really think Garnett is going to provide for his $12 mil salary?

Minny clears a slightly positive value guy and a slightly negative value guy for 10 mil in savings next year. How would that be horrible?

Those guys are useful, KG isn't.

I don't give a damn about our Owners money, with the new TV deal moving the cap to $90+ million in 2016, I doubt the 2015 cap really matters for us in any case. Who would we sign with the extra cash? Wiggins, Lavine, Bennett, Dieng, and Rubio are the future at the moment. We wont be signing an expensive FA in any case.
