I fail to see how it was a cheap shot. You were talking up how beloved he was, which seems to have not at all been the case.

Well, do you often make it a point to call out poster for their beliefs about specific players when they err ??

I think there is a tendency of fans to over hype their marginal prospects on this board and a tendency for some fans to insist they know what their team will do with a certainty. These opinions can get far more extreme than yours (Fournier for a top 2 pick or no deal), but there are only so many transactions, and sometimes they serve as a good reminder that players aren't always as highly valued as we think they are.

Personally, I'm pretty surprised Quincy was/is going to be cut -- (he striked me as the trade my under performing junk for yours and lets each sift for gold in the silt type), but your insistence that he was viewed long term stuck out to me.

Well, the thing about Miller is he had his chances. Last year both Gallo and WC were hurt he bumped up quickly into the starting lineup but mysteriously fell out as well. Guess that was his first clue and the reason so many SF's were brought in to TC this year.

Dude was such a great prospect before the ACL injury in Baylor. It's a shame. Hopefully some other team can give the kid a new chance
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

The interesting aspect for me is Denver is supposedly waiving Miller to make room for Gee. Mr. Gee is a journeyman SF who could give Denver a little more defensive versatility and his experience might make Brian Shaw a little happier, but does he move the needle for Denver?

Miller may never move the needle either, but it says something about the development program in Denver that they've chosen to get rid of Fournier and Miller.

If he doesn't he should.

Don't go around claiming to have special inside knowledge about who your management likes and doesn't like behind closed doors, and when your "inside knowledge" turns out to be wrong you should admit it gracefully, not cry about how a mod is being mean to you by reminding you what you said.

Well, considering how both Mozgov and Faried have improved, the development seems to be ok. I do agree that Shaw may be more in a win-now mode and saw Gee's defense helping that more than Miller's potential. And Fornier turned into AAA, same issue. Remember, the life of a NBA head coach is determined by his W-L record.

How much influence does Shaw have on personnel decisions?

Is making the playoffs this season the primary goal of the franchise? AA has an opt out next summer and Gee is a journeyman. Do these moves impact the team beyond this season?

This is the interesting aspect for me.

Well, as I don't have any SPECIAL INSIDE INFORMATION, I will speculation based on what I have read.

Shaw does have input on who he'd like on his team, QM may have been one to put in a less than stellar effort towards the end of that dismal 36 win season, so that along with Gee defense may have led to his release. Also, the FO does believe we can make the playoffs, Tim Connelly has gone on record saying as much, so I say yes it is our primary goal. AA is already making $7.5M this season, and I can see him getting a raise IF he plays well AND we make the playoffs. We did draft Harris, I just can't see him as a starting SG in this league, more of a 6th man, spark-plug type off the bench so that one has yet to be determined. Gee is a defensive specialist who will be a backup wing, Shaw loves a good defender and Gee does fill that role.

Personally, I think we're still a work in progress, some good pieces but still need some more work to be done in the offseason.
