This is the type of trade CLE should be looking for. I'm not sure which team will surrender a 1st for Waiters though. If it wasn't for his knucklehead ways, I would advocate the Raps throwing a 1st for him.

That's actually tristian who has the same agent as LeBron

And Thompson is the one eligible for RFA at the end of the summer

So dion waiters won't be much of an issue unless they want to extend

My bad, still think Waiters is odd man out though.

GS made the correct non-move.

Klay is better than Love on both ends of the court.

Why would you want to do that? Amir is a better player than TT on both ends of the court- he spaces the floor on offense and is a good defender who can shift up to play C. TT is a garbage man.

Doesn't make sense until LeBron signs an extension.

No one is untouchable is just GM speak. Clearly they won't move LeBron. I think anyone else could be moved though. I think the statement is probably just a reminder to the league that the Cavaliers will take calls.

Would Waiters/Wiggins/Lebron/Love/Varejao

Have Waiters play PG. He can defend most.

We would have puked at that offer and accepted Golden State's instead.

This is clearly directed at Dion Waiters, it is silly to hypothesize otherwise. If they were smart they would dump Kyrie for any solid Point Guard like I suggested before the season - and got filleted for it - but they likely will not.

Waiters isn't really the problem. It's Kyrie's defense. Guys are getting dribble penetration at will which causes breakdowns all around. It doesn't help either that Love is not a guy that effectively challenges shots. Offensively the Cavs will be fine. Defensively they need to either get Kyrie defending at a passable level or they may need to look at potential trades.

Kyrie has been more effective and consistent on the defensive end

For all waiters talk he is putting in the least effort of anyone on the team

Kyrie was hands down one of the worst perimeter defenders in recent NBA history and what I'm saying is not hyperbole. Slight improvement from him on that end simply raises the bar from historically bad to horrifically bad. I'm not sure if were looking at the same games because dribble penetration from the guard spot seems to be the Cavs achilles heel right now.

This is simply not true. LeBron generally puts in the least defensive effort on the team. He won't even try to move his feet to help defensively - ever. His effort man-on is spotty, his effort in help is non existant.

Irving is certainly the guy most often getting beaten ultra quickly too. So quickly the defense (those that try) can't even rotate to help.

Personally I think it's Irving. Who they'd take back for him is beyond me.
