Chicago & Charlotte: Small Deal

Post#1 » by drosestruts » Thu Nov 20, 2014 9:35 pm

Straight swap of Tony Snell and Jeffrey Taylor.

Snell appears to be in Thibs dog-house, even with injuries he's not making it off the bench. Charlotte adds a player under team control for two more years and see if they can get anything out of Snell.

Taylor is currently serving a 24 game suspension for domestic violence charges. In the past, prior to to suspension and his injury last year, Taylor showed he has some ability has an athletic 3&D player. Bulls take a chance that there's still some of that player left after the injury.

Can't see anyone touching JT right now. He needs to come back and play well before any team would think about it. Try again around the deadline.

Selling really low on Snell.

And I don't think much of Snell at all.

I think the only move Chicago possibly makes this year is for a shooting guard that can score the ball. That's not Jeff Taylor. - Taylor could likely be had for Bairstow.

****, I'd rather have Snell even without the domestic violence suspension.

to echo others comments: If you don't like snell enough to keep him over Taylor, just cut Snell.

Wasn't Snell supposed to be the next Kawhi Leonard or something?

Very surprised a Bulls fan proposed this. Hell to the yes.

oh come on. Taylor didn't murder anyone. Taylor's actions obviously are serious, but nowhere close to Crittenton's murder+drugs cases, not to mention the Gilbert Arenas stuff as well. I'm split on whether Taylor finds another job in the NBA after his contract runs out. He had minimal value prior to this incident, and wasn't likely to receive any kind of playing time. He's probably going to play overseas, and dominate the European leagues and find an NBA team for a comeback season in a few years.

This is an overpay, Snell has always been the better prospect of the two players and he has two years of cheap team control where as Taylor enters FA so I'd have to sign him to something to keep him. My counter to this is Snell+Moore for Neal around the deadline if nothing changes (Charlotte bottom of the East standings wise). I just don't see the Bobcats staying down for that long.

Thibs won't play Snell so he's of no use to our team. If Taylor's value has fallen as low as it seems around herewould you trade E-twuan Moore for him?
