Mavs GS TWolves

Post#1 » by daoneandonly » Fri Nov 28, 2014 2:30 am

Dallas gets: Shaun Livingston, Ronny Turiaf
GS gets: Shabazz Muhammad, Raymond Felton
Min gets: Devin Harris, Dallas 2nd Rounder

Why for Minny

They seem to have a glut at Sf/Sg with Wiggins, Levine, Brewer, Budinger. This frees that up with a quality backup for Rubio on a reasonable deal. They also get a 2nd rounder out of it.

Why for GS?

They add Shabazz to give them another piece off the bench, Felton is also on a smaller contract than Livingston and can backup Steph when needed.

Why for Dal?

Shaun Livingston would be a much better fit with Ellis than anything they have now. He's got the length to guard twos so Ellis can take the PG defensive duties.

Thoughts??

Unless Minnesota has a time machine somewhere this is pretty bad for them.

And even worse for GS. Really just terrible for everyone other than the Mavs.

Don't take a trade seriously if you can't even spell Lavine right .

Twolves say no thanks , try again .

Let me guess, you're a Dallas fan trying to find a starting PG who fits next to Ellis? The Dubs tried that for years before finally trading him. Good luck.

Patrick Beverly would probably work.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Value certainly is the best for us, but I got to be honest--Livingston just does nothing for me. I'd rather keep Devin Harris. Now getting to turn Felton into Turiaf at the cost of a 2nd I like a lot.

But yeah this really doesn't make any sense for the other teams at all in terms of value or direction.

Don't be that guy. Snark like this adds nothing to the discussion and just demonstrates an unnecessary level of pettiness.

Stick to the actual content--not rather or not someone has a misclick or a misspelling.

Trade out Muhammad for Bud or Brewer. Minnesota isn't trading Shabazz unless they are getting a valuable young building block back.

Livingston > Felton, no thanks. And who needs Shabazz? We sure don't.
