Bulls/76ers/Pelicans: Holliday to Chi, Rose to NO

Post#1 » by mhd » Sun Dec 21, 2014 4:41 pm

Simple trade: Bulls trade Rose+2015 Kings pick (top 10 protected) for Holliday
NO trades: Holliday+Gordon for Rose
Philly trades: Nothing for Eric Gordon+2015 Kings pick (top 10 protected)

WHY FOR THE BULLS?
1) Holliday is signed to a fair contract and doesn't have the injury concerns with Rose, and with the impending max deal for Jimmy Butler, they save some serious cash on the deal.

WHY FOR THE 76ers?
1) Get an extra 1st rounder that will likely be in the 11-14 range.

WHY FOR THE PELLICANS?
1) They gamble on Rose to return to form, and they actually save money on the deal (which could be used to help resign Asik).

Bulls:No. Rose still has a chance to be Rose if not this season then next. Also, this doesn't really save us any money until 2016 which is the last year of Rose's contract. Its just a huge no.

Rose is a special kind of talent a guy who can come in a dominate a game by himself. Yes he has a big contract but with the new TV deal I don't see them in a hurry to move him. The fact that he is a hometown kids as well makes it a tough pill to swallow
