Boston goes full rebuild.

Boston moves win now pieces in Green and Bass to get youth in Zeller, Robinson, but take on Gordon as a cost.

Portland gains some front court depth and Green is a better fit than Batum and more cost effective.

Charlotte moves Lance for the long coveted Ryno to open up for Big Al down low.

New Orleans gets a legit SF in Batum who should complement Jrue/Reke/Davis core nicely and bring some leadership.

That's an easy no for Portland. How exactly is green a better fit than Batum?

It is a good return for Boston, but the fit isn't there. They don't need to continue to pile up big men.

I'm not sure the other teams all jump in either. Something just seems off.

This is clearly a poor deal for Portland. Can't imagine they consider that at all. Take out Batum and New Orleans likely won't do that deal. It's just a collapsing deal that's built around Portland being robbed blind.

Terrible for celtics.
Give green that worth at least a first round
eat gordon (toxic contract)
and the compensation is cody zeller and robinson

I prefer receive nothing for green before than this trade.

Portland is not giving up any of the following players unless its a lopsided deal for a superstar: Lillard, Aldridge, Mathews, Batum, Lopez, Kaman, Blake.

Any other players or picks are in play.

So basically Portland wants to roll with its current roster indefinitely and make no moves to improve?

Not that I think this deal for Portland is any good - it's awful. But no team should realistically have seven untouchable players.

Pretty much. Unless its a pretty lopsided move or for our young assets like Robinson, CJ, Crabbe etc.

It's a pretty common thought on our page too, I'm not trying to be a homer, Chemistry is so evident that no way they'll touch it. Our 7 man rotation is play great for us, we just need one more piece. At least thats the consensus thought with us.

I never cease to be amazed at the players who seem to be almost untouchable in the eyes of some. I mean, Kaman and Blake? C'mon.

Seriously Kaman and Blake are untouchable? I almost dropped my iPad laughing . Are they on the block probably not but them being untouchable is extreme.

Trade is not good but I'm a sucker for brothers playing together but Biston doesn't need any more big men unless they trade a couple.

Kaman and Blake are not untouchable by any means. Realistically, they won't be moved, however. There's no sense in moving them with assets for marginal upgrades, and their salaries would certainly not be used as filler. So while everyone could get a good chuckle out of calling them untouchable, and trot out an "omg! Blazers fans overrate their players" every other day after this, barring a huge upgrade which is unlikely to come, they won't be moved. Untouchable? No. Very unlikely to be moved this season? Definitely.

Never said untouchable, i said it would have to be a lopsided deal for a superstar. Blake and Kaman would have to be lopsided/no brainer but not necessarily a superstar, and everyone else mentioned would have to be for a star. I feel very confident in saying this.

POR is a exact example of the sum is greater than the parts. Hopefully you are okay from laughing so hard about a misquoted statement.

Yes, i should've made them their own category. they would only be moved in a lopsided trade/no brainer. Ala the gerald wallace trade.

Boston is already in full rebuild mode. Ainge isn't taking on bad contracts. If he can get picks and/or prospects for Green and Bass, he'll do it. Otherwise he'll just stand pat. He's not taking on another Gerald Wallace.
