Houston / Minny / New Orleans
To New Orleans
Clint Capella
Kostas Papanikolau
Alexey Schved
2 2nd round picks
To Minny
Jason Terry
Terrence Jones
To Houston
Kevin Martin
Ryan Anderson
Mo Williams
New Orleans breaks apart a rotation that hasn't been very successful and adds a young center and small forward to develop alongside Davis, they also clear cap space to for this offseason to help bring in better fitting pieces.
Minny also cuts some salary and turns two veterans into a younger player with upside.
Rockets trade some of their youth for veteran shooters to bolster their roster before the playoffs.

Re: Houston / Minny / New Orleans
If by the deadline the Pelicans are 5 or 6 games out and in 10th in the West meaning they would have to jump 2 teams then I could see them doing this. Value is a little thin perhaps, but close enough.
I like it for Minny who gets a young big(provided again he passes their physical) for one of their veterans.
And, not surprisingly I love it for Houston who add three veteran pieces who complement their stars.
I think overall this is a well thought out idea for all team involved.

I like it for Minny and love it for Houston, but New Orleans will probably need more for Anderson.

Minny part is good, but I think NO should get their pick back here with filler.

I like this a lot. Good for HOU, good for MIN, but I agree two seconds isn't enough added compensation.
Fortunately you own their pick, which could either be returned outright, or reduced it's value by changing the current protections:
Nice work, LarsV8!

2015 first round draft pick from New Orleans
New Orleans' 1st round pick to Houston protected for selections 1-3 and 20-30 in 2015, 1-3 and 20-30 in 2016, 1-3 and 20-30 in 2017, 1-3 and 20-30 in 2018, 1-3 and 25-30 in 2019 and 1-3 and 25-30 in 2020; or seconds
Nice work, LarsV8!

I like this. Think NOP should get some version of a 1st or their own back tho.

I dont think HOU should have to give the pick back, but I do think it's fair to let NO adjust it to, say, lotto protected?

Yeah I think this is a fair resolution. Maybe keep Capela in there as well. But I like Ryno quite a bit.

In my opinion the value isn't there for New Orleans. Seems to be trading a dollar in Anderson for 75 cents.
New Orleans love.

I was thinking Martin and Mo for Jet and Jones would be an interesting deal earlier this week, think that portion of this deal makes sense. Don't think there is enough incentive for NO to pull the trigger on the OP though its essentially Capella for Anderson and thats light imo.

I agree - that seems fair. They would certainly give up their pick this year if it's not amended, and I think that accounts for Anderson's value. NOP wants to win, but they could really use some youth somewhere on the team.

Re: Houston / Minny / New Orleans
risky for MN, but if Jones regains his health and continues his progress it would probably be a homerun deal for them. It leaves them with the temporary problem of having no active point guards, but hopefully that will be resolved soon.
I'm not so sure I see the Pelican's doing it as currently constructed though...

Re: Houston / Minny / New Orleans
Modified slightly so that New Orleans doesn't convey their pick this year and pushes it to next year where they have another year to make it into the playoffs. Due to the salary filler required to match Andersen's money, its too much to just add the pick on top of that existing offer.
To New Orleans
Clint Capella
Kostas Papanikolau
Alexey Schved
Reverse Protection on New Orleans Pick changed from 4-19 this year to 14-19

One of the better Trades I've seen on here this year. I question NOP's motives for this, as they would be teetering on losing Davis for acquiring net neutral results, and not improving while Davis is on a tear, but they at least get decent return back for it.
Absolutely love it for MIN / HOU

NOP will obviously be offering The Brow the 5 year max extension... I think it's this offseason they can offer it, right? A 5 year max deal to a team's own first time FA has never been turned down, and I doubt Davis would be the 1st. Hence NOP won't be losing Davis for at the minimum 6 years. Papanikalou is much better than any of the slop NOP runs out there at the 3, and has plenty of room to improve too. Also in the amended trade NOP gets to keep their 1st this year and gets a decent prospect in Capela. That's not a bad return for Anderson at all. NOP could use the talent infusion to keep up with the Joneses in the West.

Re: Houston / Minny / New Orleans
The Pelicans aren't a playoff team in the West without Rhino. So unless they are getting their pick back, and by back I mean they have their pick back period, there is no reason for them to even entertain this.
