Simple trade: Brook for Jordan Hill+Lin

Post#1 » by mhd » Mon Jan 26, 2015 5:28 pm

WHY FOR THE NETS?
1) They get a needed backup PG in Lin, and shave some money off of next's years cap/tax.

WHY FOR THE LAKERS?
1) They get a look at Brook Lopez for the next 1.5 years as their center.

I'm sure the lakers wouldn't mind this swap. Lin is as good as gone at the end of the season anyways.

I like it for both teams. Lakers still have all their cap space in 2016.

Edit: You could even expand this to include OKC. Hill goes there. Perkins goes to Brooklyn. Lopez (and maybe Lamb) go to L.A.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.
