Let's say Morey is still obsessed with landing a 3rd star, what is the value of these two players on the trade market?
D-Mo is a rare commodity, a 7 footer with a real post game. He's still too weak and can get bullied by physical play. Only 24.
Jones is a highly skilled offensive player. He has superior handles and can finish around the rim. Defensively he can block shots. Still needs work on his outside shot and his defense is improving after being sonned by Aldridge last year.
Suns fans scoffed at getting Jones in a deal for Dragic at the deadline but that's because Jones was still questionable with the injury. Since he's been back Jones has been balling. 23 years old, 3 years in the league, dude is still improving.

Re: Terrence Jones or Donatas Monteijunas Trade Value
The good thing about them both is that they're young, clearly now proven NBA material, but still on their rookie deals and then to be RFAs.
I am certain the right team who really likes one (Motiejunas?) might trade a pick in the late teens. This is considered a strong draft, so I doubt you get a top 14 pick, but I could see a team in the playoffs saying, "hey that guy could be the real key piece for us"
I could see Washington or Toronto trading their pick for Motiejunas - Washington needs a young big man who can work the post, and Toronto has to be intrigued by the Lithuanian connection with Valanciunas.
Then Morey can package that pick, the NOP pick, and Jones (or whatever) for a big time key piece.

I'd love Motiejunas on the Bucks, not exactly sure we have the right pieces to make a deal work.

I'd put each guy as worth around a mid-round pick or so, Jones a little higher of the two.
Actually had some interest in Motie when he first came over because people were talking about him as a stretch 4...which he turned out to be not all that great at. Now he's showing he's a good post player, but that means Utah has less use for him since that's where Gobert and Favors spend more time.

yeah I like both those players. Jones probably has more value but Motiejunas is in the "I always play lights out against the Mavs" club that LMA captains so I always find myself intrigued by him. I could see both guys being quite attractive trade chips in a deal for that 3rd "star'.

Would definitely give up 2015 1st for Motiejunas. Hows his picknroll defense? He's more suited as a C than a PF though, right?

I could see Toronto being interested;
With Amir, Hayes and Hansbrough being UFAs this summer being able to add Motiejunas at the cost of a first would be a good route to take.

As a Pacers fan, I'd gladly give up our 2015 1st for Jones, not sure if the Rockets care for that pick though.

I'd trade our pick and Henson for D-Mo. I think Motiejunas is a nearly perfect fit at center for us.
