T+T BOARDS: TOP 25 TRADE VALUE: 2014-2015 EDITION - #3

Post#1 » by Trader_Joe » Sat Mar 28, 2015 7:38 pm

Coming in at #2....
Kevin Durant

And with the nomination:
Giannis

#1. Anthony Davis

#2. Kevin Durant

In your reply please vote for the player you think has the most trade value, while nominating a player to be added to the next vote.

Example:
V: Lebron
N: Klay Thompson

Please keep in mind trade value is its own unique measure that people can view in multiple ways. It is not simply who is the better player, rather a combination of production, age, contract, injuries, marketing, etc. If you would like to explain your vote, please do, but I would like to limit the back and forth banter in the thread so it doesn't get derailed.

Here are the first set of nominees:

Lebron James

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Andrew Wiggins

James Harden

Steph Curry

Russell Westbrook

V:Westbrook
I had him at #2 because of the injury to Durant, who is about to have the same procedure by the same surgeons that Brook Lopez did. Not good...then again Lopez is finally back to himself (took him about 15 months to return to form post surgery) and Big Z had the same foot reconstructive surgery done and had a lengthy and mostly healthy career afterwards. Regardless, RW has been IMO the MVP of the NBA this year and has a nice and long contract.

N: Chris Paul

Vote: DeMarcus. Arguably the best C already, still has room to grow. Flipped between him and Brook

Trader_Joe - is there any chance that you could list the contracts next to the nominees?

vote: Steph Curry
got the nod over Westbrook due to his cheaper contract

nominate: Chris Paul
he's in his prime and is averaging a double double

Vote: Harden--longer contract than his peers talent wise.

Nom: Kawhi
