I am excited for this one Tor/Denver/Indiana/GS

Post#1 » by bigmean » Sat May 23, 2015 8:02 pm

Lately I my trades were blahhhhhh, this will be draft day trade Ted Stepien rule applies

Toronto trades: DeMarr DeRozan, Lucas Nogueria, #20
Toronto receives: Cj Miles, Kenneth Faried, #30

Denver trades: Ty Lawson, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried, #7
Denver receives: George Hill, DeMarr DeRozan, Harrison Barnes, David Lee, #20

Indiana trades: George Hill, David West, Cj Miles, #11
Indiana receives: Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari, Lucas Nogueria, #7

Golden State trades: Harrison Barnes, David Lee, #30
Golden State receives: Wilson Chandler, David West, #11

Toronto solves there problems at power forward, Miles replaces Lou williams in sixth man role, not worry moving down to #30
Possible Picks #30: Rashad Vaughan, TJ Harvey, Dakari Johnson, Cedi Osman

Denver moves to more tradition lineup, all these guys are from winning programs, if doesn't work out only DeRozan is guarantee after next year.
Possible Picks #20: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Bobby Portis, Tyus Jones, Jerian Grant,

Indiana gets the opportunity to draft Willie Cauley-Stein, I love pairing Lawson with George. I like Gallinari as strength four role as oppose to A 3
Possible Picks #7 Willie Cauley-Stein, Mario Herzoja, Justise Winslow, Myles Turner

Golden State gets one more piece, this time its about the draft pick Curry,Thompson, Green are the core, I am going to sprinkle in two two more veterans with expiring deals next year. I love West in this offences. chandler is high level role player who can score
Possible Picks #11 Myles Turner, Sam Dekker, Frank Kaminsky, Kelly Oubre

The value is just wrong all around.

Demar> Faried . Toronto moves up with giving up a young prospect and takes a contract. Toronto says no

Denver gives up their 5 best players plus 7th pick To add Demarr and Barnes and 20. They say yes but without the pick

GS and Indy clearly says yes and are getting way too good of deals. And GS needs to shed salary to bring Greeen back they will look to deal Lee and only him

Value is off everywhere.

Toronto also declines. DeMar> Faried and #20> #30. Horrible deal for us.

The blah continues, sorry. GS comes out with way too much value and Toronto gives up too much.

Only way i see it being better with not changing much is to swap the picks around, or take them out all together.

Indiana gets a 2 guys who don't play defense and a 3rd guy who has barely played for Miles, hill and West and moves up to #7? Gallinari is hurt too much.

How do you figure GSW should move up to #11? West and Chandler is too much for Barnes, Lee and #30!!

Indiana refuses to participate in this. We like all 3 of the guys you have us trading. It might be nice to move up to #7 but not at this price.

Toronto blocks your number.

Indiana worships you.

Denver is meh with you.

Golden State marries you.

JS, it's probably the worst Toronto trade I've seen (I've seen some BAD ones) and Indiana & GS make out WAY too well.

I would be overjoyed as a GS fan, but TOR is getting shafted hardcore here.

Looks pretty bad for DEN, not so hot for TOR, and too good for IND and GS.

Directionally, I don't know whether it works for everyone. Seems to be moving pieces for the sake of moving.

I wouldn't do that deal if I was running the Pacers. I don't like it in general, like you said too many pieces moving. I'd rather keep Hill and West than take on Lawson and Gallo even if moving up 4 spots.

Question: How does CJ Mils replacing Lou Williams at the "6th man role" appeal to the Raptors? Lou did just win 6th man of the year. So unless Lou doesn't re-sign with the Raptors, and it seems he wants to - this point becomes obsolete... right?

Also... Kenneth does not solve any problem for the Raptors. The Raptors were 27th in defensive rebounding (via total defensive rebounds grabbed) during the 2014-2015 season - one of the biggest reasons there defensive rating is poor (6th worst in the league). Kenneth is an excellent offensive rebounder... this is because he plays hard, hustles, etc... but he's 6'8" - his defensive rebounding among PF's is very average. And as for offensive rebounding - the Raptors are 15th in total boards grabbed; 11th in ORB%. Kenneth is a better PF at this point in his career then any PF the Raptors have, but not at the cost of DeMar and a #20. Kenneth is a solid piece on any team, but what he brings to the table doesn't improve the Raptors biggest cons.

Raps not interested in improving denver as they get to switch with NY the pick. They're interested in denver blowing up their roster to move up the draft in 2016.

When are people going to learn Faried is vastly overpaid and rated. He is a energy rebounding 4 who his a average at best defensive game. I wouldn't want to tie up $12 million per year long term to have him here.

We are not moving DeRozan, Lucas Noguerra and the 20th pick. Cut us out here

I don't think its a big deal for Toronto to move down ten picks, unless they are in love with Rondae Hollis Jefferson Or Tyus Jones, not much of a different from 20 to 30

It doesn't dump salary for GSW so it's a no.
West + #11 would be great, but we can't afford it.
And Barnes is a better fit than Chandler imho, I wouldn't trade him unless I'm forced to.

agreed, I like the part where Toronto doesn't worry about moving down 10 spots in the draft. not really sold on a demar faried swap. could be open to it, but not like this. O and miles replaces the 6th man of the year? feel like lou is someone the raptors should keep around. really like his role with them

Was Lou Williams in the trade?
