Players you think are worth their contract, though many don't

Who is a player you think is worth his contract, though many here seem to think he's not?

I know this is a very controversial choice, but I suppose that's the point of the thread!

Carmelo Anthony.

Not a perfect player, and not a particularly pleasant personality (I myself am not a fan of players who demand trades), but still an elite scorer and the NBA's rarest bird: a true #1 option, with the star power to match. There may come a time when he's not worth it any more, but we're not there yet.

I don't know many people who have a problem with Gallinari, unless they're really concerned about his health. Faried is a good choice though.

Eh...

Not really, he's not the worst in the league bad, but not quite worth it. If it were a couple mil less I'd like it I think.

Sorry was just doing jokes. :(

For the Mavs I think Parsons is worth his contract--something I haven't always thought and know not everyone does.

I'll offer up Rudy Gay and Al Jefferson. Both are good players that help a team stay semi relevant, while not being good enough to make their teams elite. For where their teams are, they are worth their salary.

Tony Parker

He is worth every bit of his 13m/year contract.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

For Indy it's easily Ellis and Stuckey.

There are some good choices in here so far...not many I disagree with...but I'm curious to see who people would pick that *aren't* on their team of choice!

Many called Gallo one of the worst contracts in the league when he was extended.

Marvin Williams has been worth his contract and then some this season. Shooting 38% on 3s at the highest rate of his career, defending very well, his rebounds and blocks are blowing his previous career-highs out of the water, he's the only player on the roster who's played in every game this season, and he's started all of them at power forward.

Not bad for a guy in his 11th season that I thought wouldn't even be in our rotation this year.

That was yesterday. Today, you don't find too many people that have issues with him.

Aron Baynes at 6.5 mil/yr does his job pretty well.

Channing Frye. He's not nearly as bad as people make him out to be. Rangy bigs are always getting paid and Frye makes a fair amount for what he is.
