Ainge did that to us last draft, he's doing the same thing now. At some point you have to stop BSing and just make a move.

to be fair to Ainge tho--this is Philly's move, not his. And by all reports he is working his tail off trying to make a move right now.

Yeah, pretty sure these are Colangelo leaks...

That seems too little, especially since Hill just went for #12. I agree that the Noel deal doesn't make sense either though.

in the trash?

If Noel is only a late lotto pick, as a previous post quoted, would this still be appropriate value?

Edit: Nvm, just read your recent post.

It's just as much his move as it is Colangelo's. He's trying to maximize the value he gets from the 3rd pick. It's been long enough that he should know by now what he can get for it, so it's time for him to either make a move and trade the pick or decide to keep it.

I like noels game but I think he is one of the most overrated players on this board for a long time now. no freaking way I would give up pick number 3 for him and max him out a year later.

Huh? He wants to use it in a package for a star. I think that's pretty clear. He would be "settling" if he did the Philly deal so its on Philly to entice him into the deal--or for him to get OTC and be out of options and not like his choices on the draft board.

yeah it needs something else going to Houston, but that concept makes more sense imo.

I offered 24/26 and eating Brewer for getting Beverly.

Not Ariza and Beverley... Brewer and Beverley for 24 and 26. Perfect value.

It's clear by now that he isn't going to land a star player with the 3rd pick, so it's either trade with Philadelphia or keep the pick. Both sides are just posturing at this point.

Indeed. This may make me seem like too subjective of a fan, but I'd never "fantasize" about a trade between two non-Spurs teams expect maybe trading Draymond to Sacramento just to see how long he and Cousins could coexist.

We still have plenty of time before he has to make that pick. It would be foolish for him to make a deal he doesn't love right now. Even if he likes Noel or Okafor as the main piece for #3, make Philly sweat and see if they up the ante.

Love the idea of that Brewer and Beverly for 24 and 26.
Beverly is solid - but I fell that Rox need to start a SG with Harden, not a traditional pg. That SG would need to be able to handle the ball a little but a lot of them can, especially combo guys. Harden carried them this year and no one else on the te3am was a relaibel scorer/shooter. Ariza had a down year - hoping he bounces back because when he is on he is the perfect fit next to Harden (a 3&D guy). I think the perfect fit on the other side would be ABradley (another 3&D but smaller). I would even take a chucker like Knight (or Gordon) is he could accept a role as 3 point specialist.

If I were Rox, would follow by offering 26 and one of the 2nd rounders for Chandler and Knight. PHX gets $25 mil in cap spac3 and a couple of picks.

BOS/PHI/SAC

Post#57 » by the_process » Thu Jun 23, 2016 6:14 pm

Boston gets Nerlens Noel and #8 for Avery Bradley, #3, and #23

-gets their rim protector and keeps a mid lotto pick.

Philadelphia gets Ben McLemore and #3 for Nerlens Noel

-drafts Dunn, gets a new backcourt.

Sacramento gets Avery Bradley and #23 for Ben McLemore and #8

-gets a big SG upgrade and keeps a 1st.

So Philly gets more than #3 for Noel?

Merged this into the Philly/Boston thread FYI.

And yeah I don't think Philly pulls back more than #3 for Noel at this point. All signs are saying the opposite.

Boston is more than welcome to switch out Noel for Okafor.
