Seems like a terrible fit with LA and Pau, and thats before you factor in them trading their starting SG and one of their top backups for him. And if they were willing to give up those guys, why take Monroe over Noel?

it's a rumor that's going around - check the rumor thread for sources. but yeah agree it's probably smoke.

his contract is $17 mil + so they would HAVE to get rid of something since they are already over the cap...

Spurs would cut out MIL and give philly the exact same pick. They might even just do like top 10 protected.

No way phoenix does that. Don't know if they would do it if we included the LA pick.

Seriously though, a more realistic deal is something based around Len and Knight to a 3rd team, Okafor to Phoenix, and 3rd team assets to Philly.

I would throw the la pick on top of that and eat Chandler for Booker.

I know this says not for Boston, but any way... Does Al Horford's skill set at power forward over for some of Okafor's weaknesses? I've seen people say that Noel is the better fit for Boston, but I think Okafor is the better player of the two, just tougher for teams to fit. If Horford makes sense next to Okafor, I could see him going to Boston.
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

Not crazy but Noel is just completely a Brad Stevens type guy.

Okafor and horford are more similar than dissimilar. Not sure they are a match...Noel is probably a better complementary piece.

And you don't need Noel to finish games if you prefer to go small ball. He can be a super 6th man or great plug and play starter at center with low maintenance offense and great rim protection and steal generation.

Why are we still discussing Boston in a thread that is supposed to be about Noel/Okafor trades to other teams?

PHX doesn't view Tyson as a negative.

And you can't trade Noel in that deal, because between Booker and Rodriguez your backcourt defense will be nonexistent. Content Removed -- Chuck Add in Okafor back there and you'll be giving up 40 dunks and 150 points every night.

Kinda really off topic, but I do think the Nets should be shopping Brook. Any word on their stance on him? I haven't seen anything nationally suggesting it might happen, but I cannot think of a single reason they wouldn't. Any local guys with a good read on it?

I'm thinking of a multi team trade, how far off is Payton, Vucevic, and 2 1sts for Okafor in terms of value only.

I think the FO is keen on keeping him as of this time (though I have my doubts see: Thad).
But if there's an intention to trade him, he'll be gone by the deadline.

The problem is that only contending teams will be interested in him as rebuilding teams don't see him as a core to build on due to his age and injury history. Which means, the Nets may get a 1st pick but most probably in the twenties ...

Just curious, from an outsider's perspective. What do you think is the value of a Brook Lopez? What's the best package the Nets can get from him in return?
