Mitch has drafted great in those... oh wait...

Its been reported that the draft success has been mostly credited with Jesse Buss and Jerry West Son, so stop with the theatrics :noway:

Good deal for both teams--IF--LAL can flip Brewer to a contender for a positive asset.

If Brewer could have gotten a positive asset, Houston probably would have done that and saved their 1st. But as a contender they didn't find much value for him either.

Beverley remains the starter next to Harden. Splash Gordon and Sweet Lou will probably come in around the same time; but Gordon is going to remain the "sixth man" if that label is important.

We are going to see a lot of guard-dominated play from Houston. I hope that no one out there is against an offense that has now somehow found a way to shoot even more 3's, Free Throws and drives to the basket.

If LAL can pick up a second or two for Brewer, I call it a win. That's 2-3 picks for Lou.

So weird more than half of the respondents think LA didn't win. Exactly how many first round picks were you expecting to get for Williams? He's of no use to Lakers, they had no option but trade him. This is a good return and Brewer's contract is NOT bad.

Talk about a Big 3! Luol Deng, Corey Brewer, Tomothy Mozgov.

Magic has been in office for 12 hours and he's Made The Lakers Great Again!

So HOU is going to play either Gordon or Williams at PG? One downside to this trio for Hou is neither Williams, Gordon or Beard have enough size to play extended minutes at 3.

Harden will be "fine" there for small stretches.

I've got Houston pegged as the winner here but it's an encouraging move for the new Lakers regime as it is a step in the right direction.

Corey Brewer's contract is objectively moderately bad given his awful production.

Will need that cap space after trading Deng for Butler and Mozgov for George.

Harden and Gordon are both pretty stout and Harden is longer than people think. They can be fine for stretches

"Wow, it looks like the Lakers are blatantly tanking, we should totally reform the draft to make sure they don't get the pick" ... says no one.

LA tried to win with Deng/Mos signing, good or bad they tried. Prior to this season, Phi has fielded teams full of 2nd rd picks and dleague players

I guess one can make the argument that Deng/Mos was an attempt to win.

Or one could call it incredibly bad stewardship and a lack of foresight.

But sure, lets call it a winning move. :D

so you honestly argue Phi has tried to even field a competitive team the 2 season prior to this one?

The biggest winner from the Lou Will deal is D'Angelo Russell. He gets to play now.
