Now that deadline has passed, who is most likely UFA to accept a buyout so they can join a contender?

Has to be Bogut, doesn't it?

It's Bogut. D. Will loses his Bird Rights if he agrees to a buy which is why I'm skeptical it would happen.

Would that really matter though? If Dallas wants to buy him out, it should indicate that they have no interest in re-signing him, making his bird rights useless

Good point.

I'd add Rondo/MCW to the list after the Payne trade. Bulls could waive MCW and someone might actually claim him at his salary.

Keep an eye out for Jose Calderon. Now that the Lakers received Ennis, he might be given a chance to close out his career with a playoff team hurting for a back up PG.

Just an FYI - Rockets cleared some money of their books. Might be in the drivers' seat for buyout candidates. They can offer more than the vet minimum.

Im guessing Canaan will be waived to make room for Payne.

I suspect that if they can get Rondo to waive his guaranteed money for next year, they'll pay him the rest of what he's owed for this year.

Who can offer the most out of the top-5 or so teams?

Think BOS has full room exception and a possible starting gig for Bogut :)

Rockets have the most. Cleared 3.5 mil in space with their last 2 moves

Really think they'd want Bogut with Capela/Nene/Trezi?

Good point. I suspect he might waive his guaranteed money if he had a shot to join Cavs.

Apparently they do, but I'd rather not. I think he's washed and find him extremely tough to cheer for.
The Rockets bigs have struggled with rim protection though

Interesting.

Expect that from Trezi but figured Capela was very good and Nene solid at least.

Clint's timing on D has been awful since he came back from his injury, and Nene is a solid defender, just doesn't protect the rim

Jazz still have $13.6MM under the cap. They could waive Withey & Neto and make a play for both Bogut & Deron if they thought it would help most with the postseason.
