Lakers || Bulls -- False Hope
Lakers send: Jordan Clarkson, Corey Brewer, DEN 18 2nd.
Lakers get: Dwyane Wade
Skinny:
Bulls essentially trade Wade to Lakers for Clarkson. Love it or hate it, Bulls could use Clarkson and the Lakers can also use Wade.

I actually like this trade for both teams. I had forgotten, but Clarkson's deal actually goes down to less than $11.6 million this season making it a little better than I thought. Wade would be a nice mentor for Hart, and this would free up even more cap space next offseason. Wade could help teach all the young guys what it takes to win, though I don't see them doing a ton of it though, lol.

Bull should do this. Clarkson has shown his value as a tank commander. But, I'd be worried about GarPax wanting to be competitive enough to save their jobs.

If you include the 2nd in 18 you have no picks in the draft. i don't know if this is wise to include it in this trade because you're going to need any and everything you have to offer to get rid of Deng's contract if you don't strength him out.

I like this trade for both teams. Wade would be a good mentor and expiring contract. Bulls embrace the suck. Nice job OP.

I hate this trade. But Bulls would probably do it. Clarksons contract is bad. But I guess he wouldnt help win, so might as well.

Do you really say no to this deal because of the 44-50th pick of next year's draft?

Normally this is horrible logic but in this case it applies.

Bulls will be a bottom 3 team in the league. Personally, I cant think of 1 team that will actually be worse. So the positive is that Clarkson wouldnt help one bit, and he helps the bulls reach the salary floor the next couple years.
I cant wait for the Bulls to get the #1 pick though and then they draft a miles bridges at one or something instead of Ayton, Bamba, or Luka.

WWeelim, no.. i said no to it if i had to include it because they will need all the help they can get to trade deng's contract.....
If it wasn't for that and just a straight trade, i would do it no hesitation.

Bottom 3 down there with the Pacers and the Nets!

4 2nd round picks are not gonna induce anyone to take deng.

In any case where you're trying to aggregate a bunch of little assets for a big asset, it usually doesn't work. Especially with 2nds.

Clarkson will be a future 6th man of the year finalist. Lou said it and Clarkson looks to be every bit of Lou's equal.
I don't think its the right basketball move tho because Wade is only 3 years younger than Kobe and will probably have a career ender soon. He is overdue at 35 as a former slasher.
I could see Magic doing this because of his plan. He is all in on LeBron months before LeBron will be 34. I don't know what to feel about a Wade - kicker of groins, running elbow in back, breaker of nose. I don't want our young guys to become dirty players. I like the idea of being young. I think Deng, Lopez and Magic's influence provides substantial leadership. Also I believe in Luke. I didn't like the Wade v Rondo back and forth.

Dre and BBwacko, I'm not saying no other team will, but my point is the Lakers have no assets in my opinion to help TRY and move Deng. Anything that's going to try and help that I would have to consider.. That's all I'm trying to say.. Wade isn't a priority more than trying to move Deng's contract..

Re: Lakers || Bulls -- False Hope
I think the Bulls would go for this, mostly because they don't need Wade for anything. Yeah Clarkson is signed for a few years but there's actually a chance he could improve as a player to somebody they want which would make his contract acceptable. The Bulls are rebuilding but they have never really tanked. They aren't committed to cleaning house and having an entirely new team of lottery picks in 3 years. So there's nothing wrong with the getting young players now who they might actually want to hold onto.
I can tell you what they don't want is an aging Loul Deng with a larger contract than Clarkson's. That's worse than keeping Wade. Deng is all past and there's no present or future with him in Chicago. The Lakers made that deal they shouldn't expect somebody to walk up and help them out of it.

Clarkson is merely a general. Byron Scott, now theirs a commander
anyway I'm not sure i like this for the lakers as such because if we're going for potential rentals, i'd rather not give up a longish term asset. However we do free up cap room which is good.
