Clint Capela auction

Post#1 » by K_chile22 » Wed Jun 28, 2017 6:59 pm

As the rumors swirl about the Rockets acquiring another star, what is the best offer the Rockets could get for Capela to, ideally, move to Indiana in a Paul George deal?

Why? Seems like exactly the type of player to have with Paul and Harden there.

Exactly. We need a good PNR center that can play above the rim and catch all the lobs coming his way. Not going to get that with the MLE. IF that is what it cost for George I would rather explore other SNT options for Milsap/Ibaka or even look at Melo as a last resort.

I agree, but many stars is the only way to have a shot at GS

Well he's the best asset HOU has to move if looking for a 3rd star.

Yeah. Ryno and Ariza aren't going to land PG.

I would love Capela next to Towns in MN.

Assists from Rubio trade for Capela?

Houston needs starter quality players on very cheap deals to round out their roster. They really need to keep Capela.

I can't imagine Houston parting with Capela unless its bringing in a better center.

because in order to get Paul George you need to give up some valuable assets. And it's much easier to replace what Capela brings than to find someone as good as Paul George.

If Capela can land them George, I can...they can land a serviceable C with the $8M+ MLE, a la Zaza to GS.

I bet Paul and Harden can make a player out of Onuaku (good stats in D League) if Capela goes

I guess he's in the offer for Paul George

Capela
2020 1st
Anderson

for

George

I can see Indy taking this if AInge cheaps out.

Capela might have 20pts a game getting lobs from both CP3 and Harden... trading him, even for George is incredibly short-sighted. I think there are better options to bring to Houston without having to sacrifice him.

The problem with trading Capela as the centerpiece for PG is that Capela happens to play the same position as IND's lone building block.

I know Myles CAN play "4" but it's not his natural or ideal position.

I read this as A PG. Which was amusing.
