Curry to Heat

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Wed Oct 29, 2008 5:08 am

Successful Trade Scenario
Trade ID #4791594

Miami Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: 0.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, and 0.0 apg.

Incoming Players
Eddy Curry
6-11 C from Thornwood (HS)
No games yet played in 2008-2009
Outgoing Players
Joel Anthony
6-9 C from UNLV
No games yet played in 2008-2009
Mark Blount
7-0 C from Pittsburgh
No games yet played in 2008-2009

The Heat get their starting Center. I think this is one of the places where curry can shine because he and wade can compliment each other's game.

Curry/Haslem/Magloire
Haslem/Beasley
Marion/Beasley/Jones
Wade/Cook/Wright
Banks/Quinn/Chalmers

New York Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: 0.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, and 0.0 apg.

Incoming Players
Joel Anthony
6-9 C from UNLV
No games yet played in 2008-2009
Mark Blount
7-0 C from Pittsburgh
No games yet played in 2008-2009

The Knicks get a shorter contract for a cap filling C who's not even the rotation. blount is a big man who can shoot so he can fit in D'antoni's system.

Zach/Blount/Rose
Lee/Chandler
Q/Gallinari/Jeffries
Crawford/Marbury/Collins
Duhon/Nate/Marbury

God I cringe everytime I even see Lamb Curry's name mentioned in a trade that doesn't bring back Jamal Tinsley or some other untradeable contract that doesn't help either party.

I dont think its worth to pass the cap space in 2010 for Curry.

It's not 2010 that we're sacrificing cap space in, it's 2009, but either way, their is no incentive for the Heat to take Eddy Curry. Seriously, could we find a worse match for Beasley in the front court? No defense, no rebounding, and he's going to try and crowd the post? Why in the name of all things sacred would Miami want this guy?

Didn't Curry just get pulled from New York's rotation for being out of shape? Again? Can't see him lasting 5 minutes under Riley.
