You're countering your own offer, because it was accepted?
Just kidding. The new deal if probably fine with MIN too, but many MIN fans are in love with last year's Noah, and haven't seen much of him this year.

So...we trade our only two Cs for a 6'8 PF and booth? And your counter adds in one of the few guys you left us with who could play C some for Rodney Carney...

Re: chicago/minnesota...question
I like Carney and Smith to MIN, I like Noah and Gray to MIN, but since both teams are in need of C depth, one is bound to be even thinner at the pivot after this deal. I'd seek a 3rd team who has Cs to spare.
For instance, NJN would give Sean and Swift's expiring for a chance at Mike Miller,... anyone??? :echo: :cricketschirping:
Oh well, I gave it a shot!

Only if we can take Simmons' contract in the deal, but then the contracts wont match so we'll just toss in Jefferson to match salaries. Sweet.
As for the OP deal, I would do the 1st one. I wouldnt do the 2nd.
Counter-Counter offer
Chi sends: Noah, Thabo
Chi gets: Smith, Carney, 2nd

Re: chicago/minnesota...question
Jesus, mike, why are your trades consistently biased toward the non-chicago team?
We can't afford to trade Noah for anybody that's not a young center. Thats plainly reality.

I don't think they HAVE to be a young C, just a real C with 3-5 years left in the tank.

I think including NJN in the deal would help all teams involved.

Re: chicago/minnesota...question
ecuhus, i think you meant you like Smith and Carney in Chi ?
considering what you said about both teams being thin at center after that trade, I came up with some additional trades for chicago to address this
original trade proposal: Noah, Gray, C. Simmons / C. Smith, Carney, Booth
resulting pf and c rotation
pf: Gooden/T. Thomas/C. Smith
c: Booth/Ruffin
now, additional trade proposals to solve chicagos pf and center rotation
1) Gooden / Joe Smith, Petro
2) Gooden / Joe Smith, Sene
3) Gooden / Joe Smith, Swift (Dec. 15)
4) Gooden / Tim Thomas, D. Jordan

I guess I value chicagos talent less than most people, or I over value the returns, maybe a little of both. Also, i stared at your avatar for close to a minute, and it never got closer
