IND/OKC simple deal

Post#1 » by pacers33granger » Wed Dec 17, 2008 6:26 am

I'm not entirely sure how OKC values these two players so I don't know if the value is right.

IND out: Rasho Nesterovic, Stephen Graham, 2nd round pick
IND in: Nick Collison, Saer Sene

SEA out: Nick Collison, Saer Sene
SEA in: Rasho Nesterovic, Stephen Graham, 2nd round pick

Why for IND: We could def use another 4 and one that rebounds well which Collison does. I don't see us swinging a deal for a big name player using Rasho's expiring and Collison's signed to a reasonable deal. I like Sene's potential and think if he develops could be a decent backup center to Hibbert in the future.

Why for OKC: As I said I'm not sure how OKC values these players too well, but both Rasho and Graham are expirings and something could be done with Rasho at the deadline. Also Rasho could teach Petro and Swift and is a class act. Graham is mostly filler but plays well in spot minutes. The 2nd rounder probably doesn't do much since OKC has a ton of picks, but another pick never hurts and it could be dealt in another deal. Sene was a lotto pick, but never seems to play and hasn't progressed much as far as I know, plus they already have two young centers in Petro and Swift who seem to be better players at this point at least.

OKC says no.Collison has more value than two expirings/2nd and believe he should be packaged to aquire a starting center or shooting guard.Sene has been injured this season but was joint defensive player in D-League last year before injury. He is also on cheap rookie contract so believe should be given more time before off loading him.
