Cleveland also sends a future first to the warriors. This trade further boosts the cavs for a title run without messing up their chemistry or cap. Portland shuffles around some young talent but i think their roster is more balanced after this. Warriors lose immediate production but considering their season is a loss they break up large contracts, bring back all young talent, balance their roster, and add more chips to possibly move other vets in a subsequent trade.

Re: por/gs/cle
cavs first would be useless to warriors and i'd rather have randolph than frye and belinelli is starting to become untouchable like andris. i'd rather hang onto maggette than give away warriors future for young players with worse potential than belinelli and randolph. it's not like nellie is gonna be here for 10 more years so under a new coach randolph will be happy here

Re: por/gs/cle
Kinda a pointless trade for Portland if I do say so.
Don't want to lose Sergio yet as he's very important to getting the best out of Rudy Fernandez and Belinelli plays the same position as 2 of our best players (Roy and Rudy), so that's one strike against this deal.
Diogu and Frye for Randolph... meh. I can take that or leave it.
Then Webster for a piece of paper with the details of Eric Snow's contract... No thanks.
Pass.

Golden State would prefer to keep Randolph and Belinelli rather than trade them for Webster, Frye and Rodriquez. The grass is not always greener on the next hill. Maggette and Williams are the Warriors most movable pieces but not if the handling cost is Belinelli and Randolph.

Re: por/gs/cle
Aren't GS fans in love with Randolph...Doesn't seem logical for them to be dealing him or Wright at this point in time...Maybe when their rookie contracts are up...

also a GSW no vote.
I don't see anything incoming that's a starter and I don't wanna give Portland even better future when we're settling for bench guys. Nelson wants GSW to trade Randolph? Anyone want a coach? High mileage-but runs.
Clev rakes in a lot for just Varejo-Snow and a late pick. Diogu + Marcus have yet to find a niche but can be real good. Maggette scores....and the Cavs do need one more scorer...however Maggette + LeBron both do best at SF.
CENSORED... No comment.

I don't think Cleveland would want Maggette under any circumstances and there is no way that they are moving Varejao without getting a very good big man.

+1
Doesn't make much sense for the CAVs on any level. Neither Williams are Maggette are the team players that the CAVs have built their team with. The trade does mess up the CAVs chemistry and them adding a first makes it dead on arrival. Maggette has been characterized by KG of the Celtics as a stat stuffer which doesn't translate into a team player and his ugly contract doesn't help either. GSW don't even play Williams that much and they are in great need of improved PG play. The CAVs already have better prospects off the bench (Hickson and Jackson) than the undersized PF from Portland.

Re: por/gs/cle
Really bad for the Cavs. We get a bad fit back in Maggette. We trade away our best backup big and get a worse big back. We trade away snow who would save us a ton of money if we kept. We take on 2010 salary. And we trade a 1st. NO.
