Keep in mind that I'm a Bulls fan, so my judgment might be a little cloudy. I just want people's opinion about how realistic this trade scenario is, which is obviously based on the Amare and Carter trade rumors, in which the Bulls have been interested.
Bulls incoming: Amare Stoudemire, Vince Carter
Bulls outgoing: Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Drew Gooden, Joakim Noah, Larry Hughes
Reason: Obviously they do this to build around a young core of Amare, Rose, and Deng, and they add Vince cause IMO he has a few good years left, and this might be enough for the Bulls to actually contend in the East for the next few years, which is something that fans have been frustrated with for the past 10 years since the dynasty ended.
Suns incoming: Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Drew Gooden
Suns outgoing: Amare Stoudemire
Reason: We already know that the Suns want expiring contracts and young talent. They get that here.
Knicks incoming: Larry Hughes, Joakim Noah
Knicks outgoing: Stephon Marbury
Reason: They get rid of Marbury, and get a young hustle guy in Noah and Hughes. I know everyone is going to say Hughes is washed up and that taking on his extra year in contract might not be worth it, but IMO Hughes would be great in D'Antoni's offense, and his contract expires in 2010 anyway, which is the offseason they care about, not 2009.
Nets incoming: Stephon Marbury
Nets outgoing: Vince Carter, Stromile Swift
Reason: This team isn't really going anywhere this year, and Vince has a huge contract that still has 3 years left. Nets don't necessarily have to play Marbury, just like the Knicks haven't. They clear cap space for 2009 and 2010, which is what they are shooting for.
Now I know one thing that stands out is that maybe the Knicks and Nets wouldn't do it because they are going after Amare as well. Also, all 3 of those teams are contending for a playoff spot this year, and this would clearly help the Bulls gain that. But I'm not sure how important that 8th spot really is, and plus for the Knicks, this would really knock the Nets out of that contention.

Gordon won't give up his bird rights to go to Phoenix, certainly not when Richardson would almost certainly be ahead of him on the depth chart. Cliff Levingston thinks that aspect alone shuts this deal down.

How exactly do bird rights work again? I forgot. And IMO Gordon > Richardson.

No from NJ. We will not accept Marbury, and we aren't dying to lose VC. He's playing great, and we're not even actively shopping him; we're justo nt he lookout for a deal that returns a young SG/SF and pre-2010 expirings. Someone would have to give us a quality young swingman before we consider a deal, and Starbury would have to be swung elsewhere, that's non-negotiable.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

Knicks would definitely do this, unfortunately I don't see any way NJ would even consider this. Also the Bulls don't have enough to get both Carter and Amare without giving up Rose (which they wouldn't do).

Re: Bulls/Suns/Nets/Knicks
Lets do a quick rundown.
Nets-will not unload Carter for expirings, or he would already be a Blazer :}
Suns- Their owner is stingy and will not pay Gordon what he wants so it is essentialy expirings and TT for Amare, which won't happen.
Knicks- Why would they trade a Max expiring for an extra year of Hughes? They get Noah but he really isn't the Dantoni type of C.
Bulls-Rape everyone in this deal w/o lube.
