Bulls/Kings/Spurs - SF Trading Places + Bulls tangent!

Post#1 » by N.O.R.E. » Fri Apr 17, 2009 4:23 am

Bulls Trade: Deng, #25
Receive: Bowen, Bonner, rights to Splitter, $3 million

the Bulls then send Hinrich to the Blazers for Blake and the #23. The Blazers can probably just buy a similar pick anyway.

Noah/B.Miller/?
Tyrus/Noah/Bonner
Salmons/Bowen/#23
BG/#16
D.Rose/Blake

The Bulls field a very competitive team, with all the main catalysts for their run to the playoffs returning. They add an expiring veteran with championship experience, tough D, and outside shooting. Oberto is a decent back-up C and Splitter could be brought over in 2010 along with Asik, after Amare or Bosh and Joe Johnson/LeBron (pipe dream) signings:

Amare/Noah/Asik
Tyrus/Splitter
JJ/#23
BG/#16 - Terrence Williams
Rose/Blake

God Damn!!!

Kings Trade: Noc, $3 million
Receive: Deng

Hawes/JT/#24
Millsap/JT
Deng/D.Greene/Garcia
Martin/Garcia
Rubio/Udrih/B-Jax

The Kings end up looking like a damn good team for the next 10+ years. All the young talent is under 25 and could actually surprise a lot of teams as early as next year.

Spurs Trade: Bowen, Bonner, rights to Splitter
Receive: Noc, #25

Oberto/KT/Duncan
Duncan/Gooden/#25
Noc/Finley
Ginobili/Mason Jr
Parker/Hill/Vaughn

The Spurs add Nocioni and get back in the draft.

I dont think the Bulls would give up pieces to move Deng for expirings (pick).

I personally don't like it at all for the Spurs. I also don't think too much of the draft. We have an early 2nd from GS.

if thats the best package that the bulls can get for deng, why dont the spurs just deal with the bulls themselves and cut the kings out of the deal?

Deng is also a BYC player which makes it a nightmare to deal with him.

Personally, the way Blake has played this year, I don't think Hinrich is their salary difference better than Blake, much less the pick. And, I don't think Deng is worth much more than expirings and either Spitter OR the cash. Getting rid of Deng's contract is posative enough; the cash should be going the other way. That, or change Bonner to Oberto (Oberto and Bowemn's contracts are only 50% guaranteed).

Originally I had Oberto in the deal, he's definitely a suitable replacement. The reason why the Bulls are getting Splitter AND the cash is because they are giving up the Nuggets 1st.

Kings likely pass on this.

Deng's stock as been falling and there's no current sign of turn around.
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.
