to miami: vince carter

to new jersey: mark blount, daquan cook, dorell wright,

new jersey after this trade will have alot of 2010 cap miami gets a great compliment to wade and their cap space is no issue as jo will expire next offseason

Casey: yeah I know, we needed spacing
BC: play him more (walks away)

No Miami's cap space is still an issue. Miami passes.

I'm with BBall, Miami Heat will pass. While there is a news the Heat might make a move sooner than in 2010, I believe its for someone like Bosh or Amare, and its highly likely Carter is not included to their plan

Wow. This trade is truly horrid for NJ.
At the same time, Miami probably doesn't do this because they are one of the true FA players in 2010 and have Beasley as a big trade chip as well if FA doesn't pan out or if they want to make an additional move.

I think you've posted more VC trades in the last week than I've posted trades in my history here at realGM.

Seriously dude, slow it down.

If all the Nets are gonna get is expirings and a draft pick that the Nets may not move VC b/c (1) he is still producing (2) he actually wants to be here and (3) he has relished in his role as team leader. Look, the Nets arent exactly free spenders under Ratner but I think they will be patient in making a decision with VC and only move him if they get exatcly what they want which seems to be a young player in addition to expirings and a draft pick or two. I really dont think they move him for just expirings and low drat pick. In fact, we havent heard much about the Nets and 2010 FA b/c I think (hopefully) they are starting to realize its areal longshot of landing LBJ, Wade or Bosh, especically considering Brooklyn wont be ready by then.
