ATL-WAS Caron Butler for Marvin Williams Win Win situation

Post#1 » by WizarDynasty » Fri May 22, 2009 9:07 pm

C. Butler for Marvin Williams? Many on the wizards board feel that Caron Butler would be an upgrade over Josh Smith? Does this make ATL a contender?

Pardon the change in players involve.

So how is this a win-win situation? Atlanta trades their starting PF for a SF. So does this mean that Atlanta lets Marvin walk or try and sign and trade him for a C?

so you don't think al horford is better playing at the powerforward spot than josh smith? I saw alot of lineups where you have zaza at the center with al horford at the p/f slot.

better at pf? That is up for debate. Horford is a better pf than he is a center, but with Smith at PF he has to play PF. Most suggest Smith for a center, but Butler is a sf.

zaza starting at the 5 is not where the Hawks want to be.

What is more odd. A wizards poster making a ridiculously unbalanced trade in Atlanta's favour, or a Hawks fan rejecting the trade

He had edited it before. Before it was Smith for Butler, not Williams.

A little inside info...

This post is about a bet he made with the Wiz board that "everybody" knows that Caron Butler is one of the worst SFs in the league because he's only 6'5 w/o shoes, has a short wingspan, and isn't a great defender. He accuses us of being blinded by his offensive numbers and, to show us the error of our ways, he was going to use this thread to show that we were the only ones that ranked Caron Butler in the top tier of NBA small forwards.

And just think...we get to see his posts EVERY DAY! :banghead:
