Simple trade - not sure of the mathematics, but LAC trades Blake Griffin + Zach Randolph and Cleveland trades LeBron. Face facts Cleveland fans, LeBron is not going to be a Cav the season after next. You had your chance to get him to the finals and he was let down. It will be impossible to convince him that he should stay at home without a title next year - which is possible but unlikely. Griffin is going to be awesome. He is very young, very fast, very strong and has a winners mentality. He is not LeBron (he may become a faster version of Karl Malone) but at least he is yours for the next 4 years - guaranteed for a bargain. Clippers gamble that they can hold onto the best player in the NBA with a one year trial period and the only other city that could possibly interest LeBron. Cleveland only sees LeBron twice a year and Kobe gets to see him 4 times which is good for the NBA and gives LeBron a legitimate challenge. Everybody wins in the long run.
